Kels Two Tone VTR Progress - if there is any!

Just starting a progress thread for my 2 Tone VTR.
Having problems uploading pictures atm but am onto that tomorrow.

I bought the car a month ago, it come with a magnex full exhaust system, 421 Manifold, has been chipped and mapped, Red Rocker Cover, Raceland induction kit.

Since iv owned it ive done the following -
lowered it 60mm on the front and 80mm on the back.
Replaced steering rack
Had the tracking done
De-wipered the rear
T-cut the rear badges
Have started sanding down the wheels as 2 need a respray due to flaking.
trying to decide weather to spray them black, silver or the same colour as the bottom of the car (the colour that they are atm!)
Pictures to follow. Ideas welcome, and pics of your 2 tones to give me ideas please :) xXx

Looks good man :y: Id say keep the VTS alloys the same colour as the bottom, this is what i want to do lol

Mine sits standard other than Supersprint system :)

Wheels grey or silver. Silver would be the better choice to be honest, two tones look great on silver VTSs

KelVTS90 4th November 2011 14:26

thanks for the feedback :) I'm thinking silver to break it up and make the wheels stand out, but then I'm thinking they look too standard?
i need to decide as I'm supposed to be doing them tomorrow :/ xx

Thing is everyone does them grey or black. Silver is good as its standard but no one wants them that colour so its different again! Either that or a mad colour like orange! Ask someone to photoshop them for you

jimjam 4th November 2011 17:42

Go with silver. It looks spot on if you ask me! White looks good, but its pretty common...

stevie_m 8th November 2011 19:48

You def want to keep the wheels darker (almost as dark as the "primer grey" that is on the VT kit)

DanViner 8th November 2011 20:04

I would personally do the wheels in eycc silver same silver that the car is looks awesome when lowered
Wasnt this for sale for ages or a previous sax-p member ??
I remember the front grill and red rocker cover

Btw front grill ruins it IMO ofcourse

I had white wheels on my last one looked good I think

Dark grey or silver wheels, white looks a bit out of place on a two tone imo

The lower grill
Top grill is fine Also it needs normal plates not jap ones
All my opinion ofcourse
So much love for the two tones

KelVTS90 11th November 2011 20:11

i was thinking more of the line of french pressed plates but not 100% on the laws noadays as i got fined for my old ones :/

as i understand it, there okay if they've got the GB logo on, as mine had the french logo on?

There definatley different :)

Hopefully gonna spend some time on the car on sunday if i get chance xx

stevie_m 11th November 2011 21:11

Best place for the "legal" plates is Dubmeister I think.

I went to "Craig's Plates" and I believe that they arent legal, best to avoid them

clubbz 12th November 2011 02:38
