newbie on here and starting my own saxo project
 

hi guys . im a new member on here.
ive rad through plenty of threads , looked and mods etc and i have recently brought a mk2 saxo furio in silver and will be updateing this thread as i go along.

thanks for looking guys , comments/ideas/rates all welcome =D

this is my saxo before i brought it , its completely standard apart from the rear badges have been sprayed red and it has vtr alloys.

once i have fixed a few little niggles like a cracked fog, a key scratch. im goin start modifying it =) any parts/mod offers welcome. located in stoke on trent /west midlands

hey yea i do need a new passanger side fog , mine is smashed . !! but your abit far away to coe pick a fog up lol .

yea i "bought" it with the tints as standard bit of a bonus lol, but its standard apart from that , the guy must of raised it before he sold it , but this was the picture that was advertised, god knows . but i suppose it enables me to start from scratch myself . =D

i will be uploading a few more pictures at weekend when i get the spit and polish out :) haha

it also said in the advertisement that it came with a decat pipe . from the manifold it just goes straight into the exhaust , but when i got it up on the ramp , it has a cat after the downpipe , bit confused, because my mates mk2 vtr had a cat on the manifold . whats that all about . ? ? lol

i think if your car is made in 2000 or before it has the cat in the pipe but if its late 2000 onwards it is in the manifold.

im not 100% but i think thats how it is :)

oh right , well that explains that then lol. i will upload some pictures at weekend guys . and will update my thread with every mod . =)

yea after ive taxed it end of this month and christmas has passed and im not skint , il start with the modifications =D . big plans , mad ideas , havent got deep enough pockets haha

pretty nice looking base to start i wudnt do much more to it mayb a nice set of while n polish it a lotttt (Y)

rite guys as im abit skint over christmas time , and i cant afford to buy any wheels yet ! :n: and i dont want to be like all the other saxo's so while im saving up for some nimrods or 205 gti wheels , im thinking of either spraying my vtr wheels bright red , orange or green , whats your suggestions ?? :zainy:

im sat here wishing lol , and ive done the terrible photo edit on paint lol. just wondering weather it would look nice on red vts wheels , or any red wheels in fact . yea i am going spray my wheels untill i can afford some nicer wheels . !! but like i say guys the mods will start coming , slowy but surely :cool:

after squinting at the pic for a while i am going to spray my vtr alloys red , a cheap mod to make it look abit better for now until christmas has passed and ive saved abi of dollar . !!

sorry guys not updated for a while , ive been sorting a few things out , weather to spray the standard vtr alloys or find sme others , ive been offerd some ford cossie rep wheels , the one that come on the mondeo's and that , there 16" 4x108 just wondering weather thy will fit tho and if hey will look rite. anybody seen any saxo's on them . ??

im picking up an all black interior at weekend out the 1.1 so wil be fitting that =D

16inch looks quite big on a saxo, but can look good if you lower to the right ride height :)

you'll need 10-15mm spacers to get the offset right, but i think they would look quality :y: so go for it

its been a while since ive updated , i have been online , just with christmas bin i couldnt spend any money on the car . ! bummer ut now its pased and iv managed save abit of mone the mods are gunna start.


since i bought the car last year i have brought a set of xsara vtr wheels , a sportex backbox.

i have a few other mods in mind, lowering uprated bushes strutbraces upper and lower halo front lights and a bonnet bra.


i am wanting a set of say 13" banded steelies or some euro wheels but for now the xsara wheels look god, but i fancy a change in colour but i dont want them black i wanna be different and stand out say pink,limegreen or something that stands out if someone could photoshop the wheel colour that would be awsome . bright pink , red , lime green or a crazy colour thanks guys :y:
