My Euro inspired Trooper: sale thread now up

Hi Folks,

been a while since i posted on here, a few of you will know my last beast that turned out to be a right shitter:

anyway, i couldn't resist so i went out and bought another white one. But a VTR this time.

ive owned it for about a month now, it was completely standard when i bought it. some service history and 57k on the clocks. i payed £1800 for it but the body work is absolutely mint (no pics unfortunately)

list of mods so far:

GAZ GHA coilies
lowered 80mm on back and 65 front (front is going down more)
gloss black vts wheels
gloss black roof (de-aerialed)
tcut rear badges
De-wipered rear
what i believe is a piper backbox with straight through centre section (bought 2nd hand and no labels on the box)
angel eye front lights (came with car)
de- badged grill painted gloss black

Pics (i-phone quality):

i also bought this lil gem today for £150. im using it as a parts car basically:

anyway let me know what you think, and before anyone says anything, the next thing to be sorted is the rear parking sensors.

Dan-Subtle 25th December 2011 08:23

Liking the White vtr apart from the thing handing from the rear tow eye.

Blue one looks a bargain for £150, was that picked up from round the westgate area?

Llardy 2nd February 2012 16:28

update:

I've nearly finished my custom bootlid now. shortened the recess by 100 mm and waiting for it to get painted. comments welcome

JoshFurioBrookes 2nd February 2012 16:34

Looks good, how are you going to have the numberplate lit?

Llardy 2nd February 2012 16:44

I've shortened the boot plinth too so it uses the original number plate lights

Looking good mate, whens it being painted? Getting the rear bumper and boot done at the same time?

Llardy 3rd February 2012 06:13

boots being painted this weekend because I smashed the glass in my other one putting a spoiler on.

the rest of its being done after I get new springs and helper springs for the mot.

Llardy 4th February 2012 18:28

Ok, I dropped the boot off today to get painted along with a lot of other little bits to get powdercoated.

Then after a couple of hours driving I picked myself up these bad boys:

14x6j weller steels gotta love em

Comments welcome

iw_laurence 4th February 2012 18:35

6j is a bit narrow isn't it? Are you getting them banded?

Llardy 4th February 2012 18:36

Yeah 2" band

Llardy 9th February 2012 22:06

and I've been making a lot of progress on my front bumper too

and ive dropped the number plate down and found a new home for it

it's just a rough idea atm. got alot of work to do to get it to the standard I'm happy with

comments welcome

Simon0014 22nd February 2012 12:46

I like the look of where this is going. I always thought it would look cool to shortern the boot recess but i've never seen one like the mental image I had pictured until this! I think it looks really smart mate!

GazWatson 22nd February 2012 13:05

haha I had a couple of spare boots and an idea in my head, and I just went for it.

it's really hard to be unique on the outside of saxos these days. lots of ideas for the interior though

Llardy 26th February 2012 18:10

UPDATE:

A few weeks ago I got some GTI leathers. there's a small tear in the drivers seat but they will get a retrim eventually.

team heko wind deflectors went on.

Saturday I picked up my engine bay parts and bootlid

bay before:

bay after:

also found a crack in my manifold so I will change that next week.

just need my shorter plates now and the boot will go on.

C & C welcome, let me
know what you think

JoshFurioBrookes 26th February 2012 18:15
