I can't tell too much but did the pothole cause your driveshaft to snap at the CV joint and that caused you to crash?

you got it, drive shaft snapped at the wheel didnt recover the shaft must be in a field but the pot hole kinda snaped my wheel and driveshaft with a big bang then all i saw was a wall, thinking the wheel locked up after it snaped cos the stearing wheel did nothing

they wanted 6 grand to reinsure, managed to get a 1.7 turbo corsa insured for only £1,400

Was the drive shaft knocking for a while before it did that? Just a bit worried cause mine is knocking a bit on the 1.0 Saxo would never want it to fail like yours did.

That in insurance quote is 3 times what mine was n I thought I was gettin the sandy lube

when you get quotes like that they are basically saying 'WE DONT WANT TO INSURE YOUUUUUU' they dont actually expect anyone to pay it lol

That's nearly five times what I pay on my vtr also my first car... That's shocking

Did you / can you not claim off council? That's bad that a pot hole shredded your wheel like that! then causing you to crash is rubbing salt in the wound!!

Can obviously tell alot of your own hours was put into the car.. :(

Nothing personal, my dad still has two of these, they are highly collectable. I was merely satirical as the mental image of having someone's ass sewed up reminded me somehow of a sordid movie. You may or may not have seen it but it goes a little like this:

nope, just snaped, hitting a pot hole that size at 70 is bound to be bad news tho

i was goin to but by the time i realised i could claim they had filled it in,

pluss i guess theyd argue that the limits 60 on a country road and my clocks said 70 (so be around 65 irl)
altho no one saw me crash.
