Hi all im the new owner of yorkies old saxo, after goin to a charity car meet the car produced a knocking noise from the wheel so took it into a garage to find it it needed a bit of welding and the knocking noise been the wheel bearing had fallen to pieces :/ but now its all fixed up and all good with hopefully more plans to get it back to form and looking fresh :)

heres a few pictures from the time ive owned it

Is the rust gone then buddy?

Ive seen it last year and from a distance it looks great! close up however..

MIKE-FORD 23rd August 2012 17:35

yeah spent alot of money to get it all mot ready as the last garage who done the welding (when yorkie owned it) done a shabby job of welding plates to rot :/ NIIIIIIIICE

JamesR 23rd August 2012 17:56

Nice to see it's still knocking around, and with a decent owner aswell :)

Ryan1992 23rd August 2012 18:06

I'm not a fan of the colour to be honest, but i do appreciate the work that has gone into it :y:

m11ler 23rd August 2012 18:26

Translates as: I'm going to do a proper job..

Shit son, I went there!

wadoryu 24th August 2012 15:40

Thank god! This car needed to be sorted for a while now.

DanDrury 24th August 2012 15:46

Seen similar to this colour and always wondered if it was possible for it to look good ...

... Proof that it is!

LSOfreak 24th August 2012 17:44

always thought the 'smoothing' on this car looked a bit poo

think it would look better with the bumpstrips still there just colourcoded. Just looks like the front bumpers melted imo lol

m4tt274 24th August 2012 18:55

I know a guy in doncaster who did about £400 of welding under the boot and rear sils who said it was thee most rotten car he has ever had to weld up and the whole time he was there marc was sat next to him calling the car every name under the sun telling him to just bodge it up as any job will do as he just wanted rid of it. And then marc never paid. that was two years ago, so if that attitude has been taken for two years you have some serious work to do. There was some rubbish talked about the car, its just a bodge up of scrap yard parts and it was sprayed with the kit on and lights masked up. please do a good job and restore it well as potentially its a pretty iconic saxo. . . just don't look in the door shuts, ignore all the cracking filler around the fuel cap, and admire it from a distance

MIKE-FORD 24th August 2012 19:24

well i just spent £360 on it gettin weldin done :(

m4tt274 25th August 2012 09:27

Ouch, it may be worthwhile buying a cheap flat arch or any cheap 106/saxo that's got a good floor and using it for panels. or even a total refloor, not actually as big a job as you may think.

MIKE-FORD 26th August 2012 10:00

the whole floor is gettin welded up with a proper job after my holiday

yorkie 30th August 2012 14:45

FOOKIN LOL MATT

the guy in donny did a bit under ecu and alittle in the boot not much at all.... the floor was done in york at a garage 2 years ago and passed mot since and 6 months ago and i would never have say bodge it up fookin lol

if that was the case why did you wanta buy it after your own dad inspected the floor leaving a deposit and all then to add a fooked me about and didn't come for it...

and also i owe no-one money...(have seen and spoken the the welder guy your dad matt!!!!!!!) a lad i knew says to me a mate will do that for you so i got and had the work done not knowing the lad i knew was doing sum wheels for the welder lad and was saying he knock welding off the wheels bill but when all came out and lad i knew just stole the wheels in the end...

and you knew this matt....... lol

yorkie 30th August 2012 14:46

mike looking forwards to see your progress

m4tt274 30th August 2012 19:46

its fine, i dont hold a grudge and think you owe me money, but you should make sure your 'mates' are legit. More welding was done on that car than your making out and nobody paid a penny to the guy who did it. And given his personal circumstances that was unfair.

KyleBailey7791 31st August 2012 12:53

The mileage is stupid on that thing lol, looks decent but judging by the comments it's...............shabby lol pics look orite tho

yorkie 3rd September 2012 09:09

no mate of mine lol and we talked this over with you and our dad before and all was good we was all duked with the other lads all's good

and you come on with our story of cars fooked lol but after all welding was done then you wanted to buy and and left a deposit so the car cannot be fucked lol you and your dad inspected all the work lol

MIKE-FORD 5th September 2012 14:16
