Wicked Red MK1 Flatarch Saxo Scandal Progress Thread
 

I'm new to this and this is my first project :) so i've done quite a lot of work already and decided to start a progress thread!

I got my first car in March this year after passing my test, his name is Johnson haha, don't ask me why just seemed to fit!! He's an Mk1 Citroen Saxo Scandal 1.0l Flatarch in Wicked Red.

So far i have:
Replaced Steelies (3 studs)
Refurbished new alloys
Added mirror caps & sprayed wing mirrors
Sprayed grill gloss black & chevrons red
Rear badges sprayed black
Window wipers sprayed red
New number plates
Added a saxo brake light cover
Replaced standard bulbs with blue tinted Xenon bulbs

Future plans:
Gloss black bumpers & strips
Tinted rear lights
Angel Eyes (hinting at the girlfriend for christmas ;))
Tinted rear windows
Tinted side repeaters
Retrim door cards
Possibly spray centre console & fans
I hate the scandal seats! so eventually replacing the interior but will get some seat covers soon for the mean time!

Since last time:
Gloss black rear bumper & strips
Red & Black seat covers
Bee sting ariel
De-wipered

Tyre tread is the wrong way round on the front here.

Looks clean so far.

That's not wicked red, wicked red was only on mk2s.

What colour is it then mate? Pretty sure I've seen several wicked red mk1s..

Looks very nice mate. . other than the wheels, seem a bit OTT!

The gloss trim looks ace. Think it would look pretty sweet with some fogs in. Personally make the front of these cars :)

EDIT: Who gives a fuck what colour it is. . its clearly red. End of lol

Haha I've always just assumed it was cos it looks like all the other wicked reds! The chevrons, mirror caps and wipers are definitely wicked red and they match as far as I can see. And yeah mate I've actually bought some fogs will put them on eventually!

The wheels are awful.

In fairness they could be worse. . and there are worse on here. But i personally think, as boring as it is, a set of S rims would look sweet. But if you like them mate :y:. . aslong as your not going down the halfrauds style track ;) lol

Looks tidy, im not overlly keen on the wheels too but you have made them look alot better than they do standard, only one choice for 3 stud wheels imo thats RL7's.

Dont know why you have scandal badges? i though the scandals had soft top sun roofs? :S

you've got the saxo scandal and the saxo open scandal, they're the ones with the soft tops :)

ohh yeah ahah clue in the name my bad lol

So i haven't posted anything for ages on here but my car has come to the end of its life! I did quite a few more things that i had on my list at the start that i never put on here, but nothing major so it pretty much looked as it did in the last pictures i added.

The clutch started going last week and it failed it's MOT on emissions and various other bits so as much as i love my little car it's time to move on!

So i've done my horrible first year of insurance which means for a lot less money i can now drive this beast:

Citroen C2 GT 1.6 16V
