But I hate those headlights :panic:

jamie_16v 7th March 2013 13:56

looks very nice mate
i would raise a little at the rear though.

Silk 7th March 2013 14:03

cheers lads, i referbed the wheels myself, i like the headlights, plus got them at good price lol.

i agree jamie, might invest in some new shocks :)

JoshSmith 7th March 2013 14:05

Looks nice mate, VTS wheels and colour look smart! Would lose the morettes though and get some smoked standards!

cheers mate, i like my morettes, took me time spraying them so they stay for while :)

Gandi699 7th March 2013 14:18

I think it needs to lose the shrek ear mirrors and the raisers for me. Other than that looks very tidy

m11ler 7th March 2013 16:18

I've seen you around Cliffe Woods and on the B2000 a few times. I drive a posi vtr.

Silk 7th March 2013 16:49

thanks gandi, we all got to be different ;)

m11ler, hi mate yes think iv have seen you too, few my mates live that way & the back roads are fun ;)

Spoonaltap 7th March 2013 17:08

I like that, even the morettes and they usually look gash. I'd raise the rear and space the wheels personally but deffo a good looking saxo. Wish I'd gone silver.

Speak for yourself lol, gaz coilovers seem to ruin every road other than a motorway and a race track ha.

Also who do you know in Cliffe/Cliffe Woods?

Silk 7th March 2013 17:26

lol i need some gaz shocks, i use to go hoo so know few people.

you live in cliffe/ woods?

Silk 7th March 2013 18:33

twin fans i sprayed up to keep her cool :)

Silk 11th March 2013 13:06

iv had a look at my other engine & its cleaner than i thought which is good, just drill brush the rusty bits & ill be slapping some paint on, need to make shopping list of parts i need to prep the engine for the turbo & then go stand on a street corner lol;)

Silk 15th March 2013 15:34

gave her her 1st start since before xmas, she sound poorly & had a job getting the bonnet catch up lol, i miss driving her :(, hopefully get everything sorted & her back up & running with a turbo bolted on.

seen shes gone bit rusty so depends how far i go i may give the engine bay a coat of paint.

Silk 16th March 2013 20:42

got my engine up on the stand, time to get stripping & cleaning :)

Silk 17th March 2013 23:24

my soon to be cleaned & painted engine, shes in alot better condition than i thought after 2years in the shed lol, time to get dirty :)

the oil is from where it layed on its side & leaked out, its actually rather clean, saved me some work :)

You stored a engine with oil in it on its side?

Silk 18th March 2013 00:44

lol no mate, i had my hands full with a wrx engine & the vt engine slide down the wall, the cam cover wasn't fixed down so the oil poured out.

Silk 20th March 2013 14:45

cleaned engine up, bit of sanding & preping then on goes the orange :)

josh89vtr 20th March 2013 14:54

Nice progress mate!! How much is she lowered by and on springs or coilovers?

Silk 20th March 2013 14:58

cheers mate, front 60 & the rear was already lowered, i want to raise the back its to low tbh, nightmare on & off drive & the dreaded speed humps lol.

Silk 20th March 2013 15:03

pic of my turbo on one of my spare engines.

josh89vtr 20th March 2013 15:30

Ye lol. I had a 306 dturbo a while back. That was 60 up front n 90 at the back!! Was stupidly low. Was on 15s too. How hard is it to lower the rear on a saxo? I've had it done b4 by someone else. But it was expensive. Don't fancy paying this time round. Wanna give it a go myself

Silk 20th March 2013 15:35

yeah its nightmare planning ahead lol, in the queries section i asked the same, check that mate a reply i got told me :), i need to raise mine lol.

Silk 20th March 2013 17:48

thought id talk abit about my car, no one seems to look but ill do it anyway lol.
has full vts interior, momo knob which hasn't taken to good to the cold so i have a rusty knob ;)
Dtm mirrors
tinted rear windows
lexus style rear lights
morrette headlights
debaged front grill(colour codded)
bonnet raiser (i know but i like them & we all have to be different)
vts alloys (referbed myself & came out better than i hopped)
lowered 60front, seems all the way on the rear lol
has a nice sounding back box but dont know make, was already fitted
k&n induction kit
421 manifold, my cat snapped & no wonder when i see how rusty so picked up a 421
painted rocker cover colour codded to car, few shiny bits, battery cover, ecu, fuse ect
& last off a brands hatch sticker & a snap-off because its french.

future mods.
better tyres
upgraded brakes
turbo kit
strut braces
raise the back
maybe finish her off with a gti leather interior
twin vts fans to fit
got get new knob lol
& probably after about a month a new engine after turbo blows it up, they'll be more mods to come but those are what i can think of atmo, thanks for reading this if you did lol.

Bedford126 20th March 2013 20:03

if you want some advice..... Don't use the e-tech paint on the block. It's known to blister and flake after a couple of months.

Silk 20th March 2013 20:37

doesn't it all?, its going on still.

No it doesn't Quality stuff like of wassy's and customers of mine has been on for years. E-tech paints are just shit in general.

Silk 20th March 2013 20:43

josh89vtr 20th March 2013 22:42
