Must feel weird going from a good handling car to a one that just doesn't handle at all, always liked these and looks good :y:

Viper 12th April 2013 23:26

Where did you bring it from?

Nice micra :y:

Davyy 13th April 2013 09:06

These are pretty cool.. definitely a car you must have at one point.

k2thecsaxo 13th April 2013 09:26

great looking example have always wanted to have a go in one of these!

MartinObviously 13th April 2013 10:32

Looks great!

Do they not run out of puff at about 100mph though? but absolutely fly up to it? :P

Davyy 13th April 2013 10:34

What are the stats on these roughly??

The_Notorious_C_A_T 13th April 2013 10:57

Looks a nice clean example buddy.

GolfJay 13th April 2013 11:04

Anyone that thinks these are slow, clearly hasn't driven one.

Nobody said they were slow. :S

Davyy 13th April 2013 11:22

Had a little look up on them and in standard form seem pretty slow. 133bhp and 0-60 8.2 secs, modded to 180bhp easily though which would be fun.

Aren't they speed limited as standard anyway? a VTS would pass it before 1/2 mile. :homme:

I know someone with a boosted one, it can do almost 300HP.

It's still out of puff at 130mph... It just gets to 130 quite quickly. Can't put the power down either, so it's only really fast above 70/80mph (similar to C20LET getting beat on the 1/4 mile by a standard VTS), and slicks on the road are illegal :P so you can't win. They're still by no means slow, but they're not what I would define as "fast" either.

Saying that, what would you expect from a 1.3 :) And it'll be more reliable, probably. Definitely a step up from a saxo :P

What a load of tosh! A C20LET being beaten by a standard VTS? Wake up ffs.

As for knowing someone with a "Boosted one", all Glanza V Turbos are boosted. On top of that, how do you "do" almost 300bhp?

Glanzas are very capable cars. They can push big power (For a 1.3) and they actually handle pretty well as they weigh almost nothing.

A lot of shit in this thread.

Jay is correct great little cars and as long as you don't have silly size wheels they handle good, just a pain in the arse to work on tiny little bay full of big parts.

I was awake, they just spin up on road tyres. Round a track, yes faster but not on a sprint.

I meant boosted above stock. It's got a manual boost controller, so the boost can vary. So the peak power is almost 300HP.

You've just repeated what I said already :homme: 300hp is "big" power for a 1.3...

Did you even read my last post?

I'm not even bothering to reply...

To the OP, I love these. They're awesome little cars and a lot of people aren't even aware of what they are.

I'd be tempted to ditch the kit and run standard Starlet bumpers. Serious sleeper. However, the kit looks to good to ditch. They look fantastic.

adzvtr 13th April 2013 16:44

Used to have one of these. Good quick car. Especially when u swap the tubes on the boost controller so it fuuly boosts in 1st nd 2nd. Looks nice this one m8

josh11490 13th April 2013 16:52

Really really like these would love one next. Jut not sure i would wanna pay £3k for a car that old only thing putting me off tbh.

Oh yeah and insurance wouldn't touch me for less than £4k lol

VTR-Chris-VTR 13th April 2013 17:03

Insurance is cheaper then a VTS for me mate :)

as for paying 3k, these cars dont really loose value so u will always have that 3k bk when you get rid

How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Won't be for a year atleast before I consider it properly.

Bit good point about it not losing value.

BBM 13th April 2013 19:51

You need a TD04!

As for not handling, my glanza handles as well as my MX5 did!

yeh i think i will go down that route later on, but im happy with the power atm, i no its running safe and i aint gonna be blowing it up lol

AL3X_ 14th April 2013 15:18

Looks well this mate, get on UKSC, I swapped my vte and a bit of cash for a 98 spec one, I've now put over 7k in it and still love it, addictive cars!

Mines td04 and I highly recommend it, so much more driveability without it constantly hitting boost and spinning up

BBM 14th April 2013 18:02

TD04 is perfect tbh. Highly reccomend you do it!
