Above is just a little teaser of what i am doing, The car is off to Hiflowheads to be fully built budget permitting as i can only afford so much each week.

Parts that are being fitted while at HiflowHeads.

Engine
Rollcage
Suspension
Fuel Tank/Lines
Seat
Brakes

Basically when i get the car back i should be able to take it to Knockhill to shake down.

Please dont ask me what engine parts are going on in the build as i dont know i leave this to the professionals i trust they know there shizzle.

Also if your board and want to know more about me then visit *link removed*

Thanks Guys

How come mate, done most of the bodywork and suspension myself

greyjasper51 5th June 2013 17:19

hello there :)

ill be looking at this as i started mine for stock hatch but for other reasons todo with the club and new classes that have been brought out within 750MC ive changed mine to tin tops... and you know the head thats on that car you cant use... also you have to run their control camshaft from kent cams... KC750MC cam... cant use that manifold either and if your interested the downpipe for the standard manifold, i have what appears to be a pugsport downpipe to connect to the standard manifold... ;)

DavidTaylor 11th June 2013 23:39

Hey Jasper,

Cars at HiFlowHeads getting all that done they have the complete regs for 2013 stockhatch class A so they know what there building the car to and there doing an amazing job.

Thanks

David

What ecu you gonna be running?

greyjasper51 13th June 2013 10:55

What racing have you done in the past??

DavidTaylor 14th June 2013 19:15

Nothing more is getting divulged as i wouldnt expect you guys to tell me what ecu bla bla your running you will just all have to wait and see aye. BUT I WILL BE OUT ON TRACK NEXT YEAR THATS A DEFFO AS OF YESTERDAY! I will post more pics up when i get the car back in a few weeks!

welshpug 14th June 2013 22:32

er! its stock hatch not formula 1. Quite frankly unless you are doing something thats either in the shady area of the rules or disallowed, you can guarantee the other cars will have done it....

You might have an edge with a super expensive ecu like a Motec with lots of load points to get the most out the engine map but other than that....
You are not fitting a megasquirt are you?

As for the engine. At best you might be allowed to blueprint (cant be bother ed to read the rules) but if you create a noticeably faster car expect your competitors to check your car over very carefully and request the scrutineers to do the same.

I'd have gone to GMC rather than Hiflowheads.

manic 15th June 2013 14:08

omex ecu, 750 large jurnal cam, msd coil pack, standard bloack, standard, head, standard pistons,

Haha!!

Buy andrew tibbs car... Needs a block and pistons 3250... Get block and pistons and there you go, a very front running car... I know that cus i sorted alot of the trick bits for it...

manic 15th June 2013 21:06

Was that the blue shell he had up for sale couple months ago .

manta 15th June 2013 21:47

Stock hatch is supposed to be a cheap and cheerful series.

What's the point in blowing a shit load of your budget on all these un usable engine modifications?

manic 15th June 2013 22:36

No point taking a knife to a gun fight. you gotta spend it to keep up. the new clio series is very basic and controled on what you can do

KamRacing 16th June 2013 14:27

Theres also the french trophy series which is looking promising. I might do some one off drives next year in that. My car will not fit their rules sadly so it would be in the invitation class.

Ross 16th June 2013 23:25

This mean you've finished driving round the streets like a tool then? ;)

What are your plans for it then? :)

KamRacing 17th June 2013 10:24

Me? My racecar will be sort of road legal for a little while...for setup testing lol
In summary. Honda powered, 250ish bhp, 600kg and wide. Its got to be faster than one of our mechanics 205's with gti6 engine and supercharger. Thats putting out 216bhp in its first evolution.

Is this from personal experience ?

KamRacing 17th June 2013 11:45

does it need to be? Basic research will find very polar views on their work. Some good, some utterly terrible.
