Probably the only Exclusive model still going

Hi just through i would put up what i have done to the saxo since i got hold of it.

I have brought replacement boot & center light bulb holders and bulbs,
both the front speaker covers aswell as a astray that was missing, i have just had a full service and cambelt change yesterday at 86k and it sounds like a builty, i still got a few more things to do before i put her on the road, mainly the exhaust which im getting wielded on soon and finaly the drivers door trim which im hoping to get in a few weeks all the way from a scotland breakers yard :y:

anyway things that i plan to have done to the car
tint back and rear side windows
put a sax-p sticker on the back incase im spoted :A:
respray the alloys not decided on colour as of yet possibly black
looking at replacing the radiator as its on its way out so will be doing that in the next month
and finaly get hold of a parcel shelf for her

look forward to taking her round a track

Prickle 27th May 2013 11:35

Whats Exclusive?

Aly 27th May 2013 11:41

As of 2012 there were 266 Licensed and 25 Sorn, so I doubt yours is the only one left.

CarlStinson 27th May 2013 11:41

Model of saxo, similar to a Desiree i guess

CarlStinson 27th May 2013 11:42

oh how did you find that out aly?

Ross 27th May 2013 14:58

moonstonechris 27th May 2013 15:02

ive seen two but tbh still quite rare though

Prickle 27th May 2013 15:06

I've seen one standard 1.1 Saxo.. its a lovely colour but ive only seen 1 in that colour, oldish dude owns it.

Its not Amazon Green nor the other Green. Wierd but decent colour

CarlStinson 20th June 2013 13:04

Update to the car
Got hold of door trim and parshelf, its had the orginal airbox fitted and a K&N replacement filter put in, to replace that tacky K&N cone it had fitted, its also had the exhaust put on probably one of the few saxo with a twin port fitted will add a few picture in a bit, just got to get windows tinted and alloys repaired and sprayed and a new rad put in
so far shes cost me just under £900 some may say i could of got a 1.6 vtr or vts for that but insurance would of been through the roof so my 1.4 is fine

GolfJay 20th June 2013 14:08

A progress thread without photos is like a woman without a kitchen . Utterly pointless...

CarlStinson 20th June 2013 14:34

Drivers side trim indicter is being glued down soon,

Engine bay could do will a clean and new rocker cover

Boot with Parcel shelf in

Exhaust

monka 20th June 2013 14:51

why 2 random subs?

Gandi699 20th June 2013 16:26

that exhaust is awful

Prickle 20th June 2013 16:39

Not a fan of DTM's on a Saxo :/

CarlStinson 20th June 2013 17:16

I got two of the silver ones getting rid of the fusion, and putting both the silver ones into a twin box, whats wrong with it?

JoshSmith 20th June 2013 18:31

Not the best exhaust lad. Go change it for a saxsport.

mysaxovtr 20th June 2013 18:34

Dtm on a 5 door... Why not save the money for a saxo furio/vtr/vts

W343NNA 20th June 2013 19:12

Sorry I dont get it was it citroen exclusive or halfords exclusive ?

I`d be more embarassed with that dented bumper.:fcuk:

CarlStinson 28th August 2013 10:45

Been doing some work to clean the car up a bit

refurbed the alloys

New sub box

cleaned up the engine bay, could do with respraying the slam panel

Blue Calipers

CarlStinson 28th August 2013 10:47

Will be sorting out the dent in the bumper or replacing it shortly, as well as putting a single port exhaust on with in the next few weeks

Manu 28th August 2013 10:52

watch out for the rust

CarlStinson 28th August 2013 10:58

i think its common for them to rust around the slam panel, going to take it off and sand it down, and respray it

Manu 28th August 2013 11:12

I'm thinking rear arch as well, also check under the ecu while you're at it (better now than sorry later). That'll be a nice bit of prepping for the winter...

CarlStinson 28th August 2013 11:17

Arch is fine, but the ecu tray and battery tray both need redoing, might keep a eye at the scrapyard see if i can find one in better shape save me some labour

JoeHindle 28th August 2013 14:45

Erm, you painted the rocker gasket as well?

Get some better photo's of the car up too!

SaxoMart 28th August 2013 16:56

swear some right snobs on here. recent pics look much better bro! :y:

take your time on it looks like your in the right direction

props!

DavidsVTR 28th August 2013 17:18

Not a bad car mate tbh :y:
like the wheels!

Some simple mods may be effective..
- dewiper
- t-cut rear badges
- remove toy off tow hook :p
- changing/ tinting lights
- change backbox
- spraying interior parts...
ETC..

:y:

Xsi16v_Jk 28th August 2013 19:47

drop a 16v straight in there. ;)

Few bits of work I've been doing in my spare time

Halo lights on the front

Now got Lexus lights on the rear

Got given a blue neon so decided to wire it to the boot light and put it on top of my box heres what it looks like.
(with out flash on)

(with flash on)

Previous owner sealed the sunroof in with silicon for some reason it was a right mess as you can see below.

i have now taken that out and put a new on in

Finally good bye twin port exhaust, been given a perfect fit from my mates VTR

only thing is the bumper needs to be cut out more for it to fit better, not going to attempt it myself would sooner someone that has done it before do it,
and while its their get the dent out, few other bits its now got original Saxo mats out a old VTR and i managed to find a original alarm module so its now alarmed up to :D

holdawayt 16th October 2013 13:08

Typical boy racer car checklist.

Neons - check
Lexus lights - check
Noisy Exhaust on a 1.1 - check
5 doors - check
Massive subs but no other audio mods - Check
Nasty ass alloys - Check
Halo lights - Check

You're a ripspeed sticker away from the 90's.

Means nothing to me lol. Could be made from solid gold, doesn't make them anything special.

Apologies to OP, I feel I'm being unnecessarily harsh. Keep up the good work.

Prickle 16th October 2013 14:16

Lol, think they came on a Saxo standard. cant think of what one though.

Gandi699 16th October 2013 15:11

Rather than taking the dent out of the rear bumper i`d leave it a while,as your exhaust will melt it away nicely. Please change/spray those awful rear lights.
