keighley trade centre / motorhub

had a look at a car there today and seemed really nice looked and sounded fine. but looking on the net ive seen loads of comments about how bad they are as a company with selling crap cars. Mainly jap cars like evos and scoobs and skylines etc.

Anyone had any doings with this garage at all please let me know as im dubious about buying this car now.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-MAZDA...item41781ed0be

its a multi storey car park been converted into a huge showroom with an impressive collection of cars.

Giraffe 25th October 2013 08:24

Never had any dealings but I've only ever read bad things. Their cars always seem incredibly cheap though, that is one thing I've noticed. Suppose all you can do is just check the car thoroughly, like mega thoroughly.

djx11b 25th October 2013 11:18

Typed there name in google and page after page of horror stories would not go near them.

My friend was going to buy a 106 from there for about £150, had some tax and mot but was just a bit too tatty. I'd buy something to tool around in for a few months but nothing more

Dany4494 25th October 2013 12:13

I live next door to them haha mate used to work there and I know a few guys with good cars and others have had shite cars.

Bedford126 25th October 2013 12:19

Don't buy anything from them at all, worked on a few of their cars in the past and it was always a price cutting job.

All the Subaru lads and the Mitsubishi lads won't touch them with a barge pole.

How the last bit should read.

Mochachino 25th October 2013 12:52

Probably cheap because they're low grade cars when imported and thats why they're cheap.

Look good on the internet, but up close they have loads of niggles.

mate bought an S14 from them 8 years ago and it wernt too bad. they did rag it from cold on the test drive though :\

craig180 25th October 2013 13:19

The guy from wakey on here a few years ago bought a car, turned out to be duff and ended up taking them through court for a full refund. Got it in the end

Nik_L 25th October 2013 14:59

Guessing most of there stock is higher than average miles also seeing as most of them are listed as 0 miles. Normally a sign of high miles.

With a generic car like the Mazda you are looking at, it can't hurt to take a look. Probably been a trade in.

I think there bad name comes from the shitty grade imports they sell.

Andy_K 25th October 2013 18:44

Got a terrible reputation in the local area for shoddy patch ups as i think a fair few of their imports come As crashed vehicles which try repair in the cheap and then sell on.

Also hear storeys of dodgy mechanicals and a few of them nicking the car back after you buy it by keeping a copy if the keys :/

I'd be careful if you do go for a look

jimmyboy 25th October 2013 18:55

Don't even think about buying a car from these lot mate. They're as dodgy as they come. Plus the whole thing's funded by drug money.

Bodvts 6th November 2013 15:41

i looked at an audi a4 estate was listed with 0 miles i contacted them never replied to say how many it had done all i have heard since is bad reviews of them

hellonpluto 13th November 2013 15:57

i saw keighley trade centre and thought i comment "LOL! NEVER GO THERE" if you've already bought a car from there then all i can say is "GOOD LUCK, YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT" LOL

they'd probably just ran it all the way up so they read zero!

mattygoulding 16th November 2013 22:21

Do not buy anything from them!!!

Yates 16th November 2013 22:26

only heard bad things, ive seen a few of the cars and listed at 0 miles, when i got an answer it was on over 200k. They popped up when looking for an evo and an a3

Yates 17th November 2013 01:20

There is a lot of drug money in the trade... Or there used to be when my dad was a trader!

mattknight1984 17th November 2013 09:19

Whenever a car says 0 miles I skip straight past it.

Yates 17th November 2013 10:01

maybe so, but to say most is just over exageration

Giraffe 17th November 2013 12:16

I think he means dodgy car dealers like these, not the whole industry, although it's still a bit of an exaggeration

j40mek 17th November 2013 12:24

Well up in Scotland yes there is it's just a way to wash dirty money

smiith 17th November 2013 12:35

I once bought a car from vauxhall, got it home, and realised the whole engine was made from compressed cocaine..

Should be worth a lot more than what you paid for it then

I'm good friends with the family and can assure you their business is not funded by drugs at all.

Many of the bullshit you read on the forums is just that, passed around and twisted...obviously some of the cars are cheap as they need bits or work or higher mileage etc, otherwise they'd be main dealer prices...some people dot understand that.

So all that negative feedback all over the internet is just shit is it?

AL3X_ 1st December 2013 23:56

A lot of it is over inflated shite yeah...howany people in this thread are talking from first hand experience? With imports you buy a car from pictures, so once it's arrived it's theirs, they had to sell them but the price reflects that

They don't do imports much anymore and the majority of stuff is all ex company owned vehicles, with the volume of cars they sell you will get some problems, it's to be expected, as I said, they are a 'trade centre' if you want approved used with a full peace of mind warranty buy from a main dealer...

GolfJay 2nd December 2013 00:00

It was all over the papers that these individuals were involved in drugs, stolen vehicles and firearms lol

Companies don't just get a reputation as bad as this place. They create it.

AL3X_ 2nd December 2013 00:07

Ktc? No it wasn't mate, I can assure you they have and never will be involved with drugs...find me a report that says otherwise and I can promise you it won't be there long

LSOfreak 2nd December 2013 00:35

how can you say someone will never be involved with drugs?

Can you read the future? are you a fortune teller?

AL3X_ 2nd December 2013 00:41

Yes, yes I am! I can tell you that all your responses to this thread will be as pointless and straw clutching as the first!

I dunno about you, but I know my friends well, and i know they are so much against it that it won't happen.

smiith 2nd December 2013 00:44

So all the people who have actually posted online, themselves, about their own personal problems with them, are just lying?

Fair enough if there was 2 or 3, but there's quite a hand full..

Government conspiracy maybe?

AL3X_ 2nd December 2013 00:50

As said before, you only hear the bad reviews, people are much more likely to post a bad review than a good one, bearing in mind these lads sell upto 30 cars a week there's gonna be some negative ones!

Again, as I said, how many people are actually posting from their experiences? Not just a friend of a friend whose cousins aunty bought a car from them?

I can speak first hand as I have bought a car from them and seen many happy and returning customers...
