Looks like a fucking nail to me.

ashj22 26th June 2014 16:02

twin vts engined saxo in the world it's basically a 3.2 litre 32valve straight 8

0rang3peel 26th June 2014 16:02

When you describe the car that you have for sale as "the only one in world" you instantly qualify for the worlds biggest tosser award.

Giraffe 26th June 2014 16:03

I'm amazed that someone could build such a thing and have such a poor grasp of the language that they speak... I know which is more difficult.

He's obviously a car infusiast!

kizmo22 26th June 2014 16:06

good enough for someone to bid £3k on it

Except it isn't, it's a saxo VTS 1.6 16v that somebody has bodged another Saxo VTS 16v into the back of.

Stereotypically or not, the ad sets alarm bells ringing, if someone works full time building racing cars yet describes people as "car infusiasts" and "big boys" I really doubt they're the type of people I want building something like this.

283mm rear brakes is going to be nothing short of lethal, yes it will have more weight in the back, but really? No mention of bias control, and the cooling appears to be "cut a hole in the rear wing" and "reverse bodge the rear window" open, so that should create a nice bit of drag on one side of the car.

The gears are described as "a bit tricky" and he recommends "trailering it away until you get used to it". There's also no way in hell it's road legal unless you have a particularly friendly MOT tester who's not too bothered about his testers certificate.

If it looks like a nail, and it sounds like a nail...

Giraffe 26th June 2014 16:09

Rear wheel in the 3rd picture looks properly wonky but I'm not sure if it actually is or not...

Jizanthapus 26th June 2014 16:09

Also, why wouldn't he put it in the 'cars' catagory? Dumb ass...

I lolled.

You have used eBay before? ;)

jimmyboy 26th June 2014 16:12

I never get why people go down the twin engine route. I bet it drives and handles like a piece of shit. For what that cost him, he could have built a turbo vts engine and had some real fun.

kizmo22 26th June 2014 16:12

i dont get it? :s and of course i have! :P

i also love his spelling - 'Car infusiast'

It's probably not a genuine bid.

Look up shill bidding ;)

kizmo22 26th June 2014 16:15

ah... well the guy bidding does have a feedback of 3

kizmo22 26th June 2014 16:16

without looking it up first, is shill bidding where ebayers get their friends to bid up an item for them?

Yes...

D4MJT 26th June 2014 16:18

yup. You'd have to be mentally impaired, or on ket to pay £3k for that.

£3k in the 106 / saxo world would get you a seriously sorted 16v affair with decent suspension, brakes, probably caged, and with the added bonus of no large lump of iron cable tied into the boot ready to exit through your face in the event of a crash.

kizmo22 26th June 2014 16:18

woohoo! i know something :drink:

Dany4494 26th June 2014 16:40

Looks nicely done.

hazlo 26th June 2014 17:07

I would imagine it handles like some pikey car infusiast has cable tied another saxo engine and gearbox into the boot aswell.

Matts-VTR 26th June 2014 18:01

Built by someone that knows what theyre doing, advertised by his pikey cockend of a mate.

Kebabman 26th June 2014 18:10

No test drives always gets the alarm bells ringing...

blackie_2k5 26th June 2014 18:28

he wants 5k for it.. its caused a few arguements on ukfo

main one being.,. 280.. 140bhp +140bhp being 280bhp

both engines have a manifold and filter lol

Bit harsh, I knew a guy who could barely spell "petrol" yet was one of the most insanely talented fabricators and machinists ive ever seen.

But I know what you mean.

Quick 26th June 2014 19:08

I wonder what the legality of a twin engine car is??
Probably it should have had a SVA test??!

not legal to run both engines on the road at once

and yeah, its should legally have been tested

Manu 26th June 2014 20:05

Silly as a daily, sillier as a track car. Next please.

The thing is your mate who had a passion and was insanely talented probably would have written an ad explaining how well it was put together, not that it was puar rapid and showed the big boys what was what lol.

AntscVTR 27th June 2014 01:40

A mid (and front) engined Saxo! Imagine the potential destruction to the driver and passenger if this car was to be rear ended by a 4wd or lorry on a motorway, even worse would be a fog related pile up. Getting rear ended in this could result in piles of cars.

I just assume that someone with the ability to do such a thing would also be able to spell, I mean why not? They're clearly intelligent and if they're capable of learning to do that, then surely capable of learning basic English? Baffles me.

EDIT: Not really a criticism as such, it baffles me in the same way Matt can make amazing burgers yet can't fry an egg.

Getting rear ended in any car will result in a pile of 2 or more cars :homme:

Rear wheels are only just sat inside the arch,& for someone who build race cars for a living i'd expect them to be better educated.:drink:

Looks like they're poking out a bit!

Just looks like it's on some wonky camber, for that one wheel only.

Manu 27th June 2014 10:59

what a sorry looking piece of shit, and good luck finding alternate roads every time you come across a speed bump. Less than factory pace if running on one engine and nightmare mpg on 2.

Jamie 27th June 2014 11:04

Maybe it would be good for the strip?

Pile of shit though.
