silicone greece off block paving

Hi guys as titled above sprayed and spilt some silicone greece onto out block paving now its seems to be permanently blended into the block paving. Tried Thompson drive cleaner fluid, break cleaner with a wire brush but just makes the paving block go white. a local mechanic gave me some luminous yellow fluid with a lemon smell with some scolding hot water which improved it a bit but it wont bloody lift :wall:

What have people used on here to remove it off their block paving?

Thanks

get the hose out and some cheap wash&wax (yup the car wash stuff), and go to town on it, proper scrub the stuff in there, give it a min or too and rinse it off, usually comes out after a few goes, if not, might have to borrow a pressure washer or something

Thanks for the help mate will give that a try this stuff is like a tattoo permanently stained. if that fails is their any serious heavy duty paving cleaner?

Mi5terSIR 1st September 2014 00:09

no problem mate, afaik, not really, although i very much expect to be proved wrong, it is murder to get off, my driveway is currently stained, but the rain has been slowly washing it off, when my xsara decided to dump +1 litre on it before i could only get it out with the jetwash, that one was a right bathplug.

Just replace the stained bricks if a cleaner doesn't work.

Mine usually clear themselves with the rain and wear from car tyres etc on them.

I don't have a problem with greeks, it's normally the Irish that I can't get off my drive. I'll try a blow torch next time.

Thanks for the help.
