this week ive been really anoyed with the car and my cash situation,
first off had a leak with the car then people on here helped me and said that it could be the windscreen, so went to rac windscreens he took the scuttle off and there was a hole so put some sealer in that, but it hasent sorted it :( , so got to take it back thursday for a reseal then yesturday the exhaust started to rattle like mad so will have to check that out at work tomorrow, With all this going on and other things cash is low on the ground and ive got crimbo coming up and aint got any presents, just thought id get it off my chest, anyone else having one of those months????

Karl 27th November 2006 11:55

I blow a brake light bulb in alternate sides every other day usually. It makes me smile a bit.

S9_DAN 27th November 2006 11:57

thats the only idea i keep comming up with that or become a drug dealer which is a no go lets be honest ;)

So i need some ideas on how to make about £50 a week cash in hand ?

Karl 27th November 2006 11:59

delivery driving for curry houses.

amy_1 27th November 2006 12:23

i'm pretty much skint this month. everybody will just have to accept token gifts off me this year. it has been a hard year financially so i can't afford to buy people much.

kcsaxo 27th November 2006 12:30

yeah know how you feel, just spent £500 fixing mine a few days ago and again another £300 on a new centre pipe with cat! plus i still need to get a new rear bush pin as its fucked and my inner wing needs replacing. yeah i feel your pain.

saxophone 27th November 2006 12:37

yea know how you feel mate, my cars been leaking since august and cant seem to fix it, just keep a bundle of towels in the boot and drain it out every morning lol mine leaking under the windscreen too but cant find where, ive used 4 tubes of sealant and it still leaks lol. also central locking broke yesterday, lucky i was outside my house cause i was in the car and its had the door pins out so i was locked in, had to get daddy to run out with the spare key and get me out, now i can only unlock 1 door at a time! but then thats the joy you get from owning a saxo! im skint aswell with no xmas pressies so im thinking bout handing out some free love coupons for now, or I.O.Us.

She_Racer 27th November 2006 12:42

Ha ha ha ha!!!!!! gutted

mick2404 27th November 2006 12:54

I've just spent 2400 quid on an engine for my mini, only to find out that the engine steady's aren't strong enough to cope with the power (yeah they are uprated one's).

It managed to shear the main bolt on the engine side last nite, so now i have to try and remove the sheared bolt from my week old block

Oh the joys....

Karl 27th November 2006 12:58

sounds like 2 and a half grand well spent :/

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 13:44

Im glad im not the only one having a bad month. They say bad luck comes in 3's but i had more than that. My gf breaks up with me after four years, the saxo then starts to leak again, still got a horrible cluncking noise coming from the front after changing the balljoints and bushes so still trying to work that one out, then it fails its mot and i need to replace the torsion bar and attachment braket. All this then Insurance renewall. Now christmas no money no girl and a busted car that im worried about driving.......... roll on the new year!!!!

that is a bad month mate, think on the up point though ! No g/f = no pressents to buy her = money to fix the saxo or go out on the lash, either way really :P

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 14:12

true true, lot less to trouble my mind now, will save alot but not as many gifts either. lol
I think going on the lash comes first, rebound time....lol, then i'll spend my money on my real love!!!

S9_DAN 27th November 2006 14:19

good man, do somethin crazy like i did and brought a subaru when i split up with my missus, its a good laugh when your spending £60 a week on petrol on average, makes you feel alive, haha

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 14:25

I tried to get one a few months ago lol, insurers wouldn't touch me. Instead my sax is for sale and im getting a 2.9 vr6 Golf mk1, for some reason they will insure me on that. Lovely stuff. still want a scooby at sum point in my life.

S9_DAN 27th November 2006 14:31

how old are you ? how much is the insurance on the golf ?

sounds nice, always loved the old skool golfs !

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 14:35

Im 22. The golf is a mk1 gti, A reg, so 1984. Its had a bear metal respray in that forest green colour, 19" lenso's, 2.9vrs engine, brembo brake set up with all perfomance discs, lowered on coilovers, full audi tt leather interior and a mk3 dash. sinlge wiper conversion on the front and just has a nice slatted grill without the vw badge. running at 300bhp at the mo.
I been driving five years with three years no claims, fully comp all mods declared..................... £900. tp,f+t ............. £600. love it

She_Racer 27th November 2006 14:37

sorr to her bout your break up hunny- remember dont tar us all with the same brush.

S9_DAN 27th November 2006 14:50

sounds nice mate, get some pics up when you can, I know some one that would be able to insure you on a scooby though! i am 21 with 3 yrs and pay 1800 fully comp on the scooby, only keeping it till july/august time though.

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 14:51

klkl, yeah this one im getting has had a few features, i know the owner very closely he owns a company called vag tech, specalists in volks. www.vagtech.co.uk . His cars have been name volkswagens only supercars.

no i wont tar you all with the same brush, im sure there are a few decent ones around. just like us gents. lol

SKOLSKY 27th November 2006 14:53

yeah as soon as i get it i'll put some photos up. the site i just put up shows some of his best work, like the vw beetle, 0-60 in something like 2 or 3 seconds.

I was getting quotes for scoobs around that price but at the min trying to keep the insurance low side

mike_obuk 27th November 2006 15:22

1st year i bought a vtr with it,
2nd year it was all spent on fixing the vtr,
3rd year i bought my current car with it when id have enough of fixing the vtr! (megane coupe 2 litre),
this year im hoping to spend it on something else but its not started very well!

ive been getting 3.5k per year as well so thats quite a bit of money and not a lot to show for it! lol
