Gunmetal S - Car's back from the bodyshop!!!

My Gunmetal Grey VTS "Ellie" :hug:

Hey everyone.

I bought my saxo about two weeks ago and in that time have already got stuck in with my first mods
and a few small changes to the car's appearance...

The previous owner added a few mods:

* Compo MO's in original gunmetal colour (have been refurbed and resprayed since)
* Induction Kit
* Blitz air filter and forged pipes
* Connectors and reducers + Carbon intake pipe
* Exhaust
* Cobra Imola2 Buckets in Red/Black with black backing
* Rage 6-point race harnesses
* Rear seats and bench re-trimmed to match
* Rear tints
* Lowered all round by about 55mm
* Sound system
Some spare change in the car lol.

Here are the first proper pictures i have of her nice and clean since i got the keys...

Meg's, Autoglym and some zymol products and goodies used ;)

Engine bay...
No strut brace fitted yet :( wont be long!!!

Different views...

Old Cobra red and black colour coded race seats fitted with sliding sports frames and 6-point rage racing harnesses.
I actually miss these seats now which im ashamed to say as i could wait to get rid of them and get some GTI leather in place...

^^ Looking back i realise now they would have been a fook load better when i was on track
@ Silverstone for Trax '07 and how much i miss them :sad:

SF Racing steering wheel...

Another view from the side...

ICE and Boot build...

Sitting on Eibach springs. Lowered around 55mm all-round i think...

Pic as she is now for comparison...

A LOT has changed since these pics so keep reading for more...

Shes now been nicknamed 'Eleanor' or Ellie (sad but there goes lol.)

Any thoughts or comments welcome :y:

Cheers
Red :)

Hopcraft 18th May 2007 11:58

doesnt look too bad bud, i wouldnt change the grill, like that mk1 grill. id sort the alloys out if not get some differ ones, other than that, seems a nice motor.

Karl 18th May 2007 12:00

not too sad that mate, not so sure on the seatbelt pads or the 6x9s but yes.
i love the color

craig180 18th May 2007 12:24

Nice wheels, love the seats, best colour of all the saxos ever produced.

I would keep it subtle and maybe refurb your wheels the same colour as the car, delock it and generally keep it nice and clean.

I think the mats make the interior look a bit muddled as well!

jimbo06 18th May 2007 12:29

If your going lakeside you will mate. All comments and views taken into account

Any ideas whether to turn her into a track slag or not?

bullit 18th May 2007 20:55

keep standard and refurb wheels, looks spot on now, red doesnt really suit though

RedB 18th May 2007 21:01

I can either go red black or blue black. Wat would you choose bullit mate??

bullit 18th May 2007 22:12

or grey black as i have same seats ;)

Skorpion 18th May 2007 22:18

Looking good mate. I am a bit colourblind so it looks a bit green to me but might be the pictures! White wheels would look good. I would personally (just my opinion) strip the ice and back seats out and track slag it! Grey and black seast ftw!!!

boss_1699 18th May 2007 23:04

Mint mate Interior looks sweet

PugDan 18th May 2007 23:07

Looks alright mate, needs the doorcards doing a.s.a.p.

RedB 19th May 2007 21:25

Yea there next on the list lol, havnt even had her a month yet!

RedB 20th May 2007 14:28

What colours to go with now, either black/grey or black/blue which i reckon would look better than red
