VTS fuel return plumbing
Hi,I need to plumb in the fuel return line for the VTS engine,I have all the pipes,I just don't know how to route them around,I tried reading the guide but pictures are missing and I'm just more confused, this is what I have on the fuel tank now (1.1):
This is the VTS setup: I understand that it needs to go from the 2nd inlet on the inside on the injectors rail and also to the fuel filter but don't know about the fuel tank, any help is much appreciated, thank you. |
oh right well if you have all the VTS pipes, remove all the pipes you have on your current car.
The routes are indentical. The tanks are the same. run the VTS pipes the same way. |
I took the vts pipes off a long time I have no idea how the return goes around lol

You could run it single line? just use a VTS regulator in place of the 1.1 reg and block the return line on the rail using a short piece of hose and a bolt/plug. So, using the parts you've got fit the 1.1 regulator in the rail - which will be open all the time anyway and the VTS reg from the rail into the holder at the rear. just to clarify that :) |

so have you fitted the twin line vts setup and binned that regulator at the fuel tank, fitted a new fuel filter ensuring its the correct way around?

you really need to just do it properly, fit ALL the vts stuff, fuel pump, lines, FPR.
the FPR is likely to be identical, or if anything actually a LOWER pressure, they are marked on them, the VTS from memory is a 3 bar/300 kps unit, single line models I have come across actually run 3.5 bar/350 kpa. |
So it's all done and return line plugged back in,the only thing which I have a doubt is in the image below:
Obliviously no need for the fuel pressure regulator so that as been deleted,in place i just put a bolt to block off the third exit,it shouldn't prevent the breather working as far as I know or does it need plugging back in to some other pipe? it's interesting to know the fuel return quanitity after the car is started everytime,I would say it's about 100ml more or less. |
just remove that totally and use the vts stuff.
|
Unfortunately i don't have that part of the lines.
