Alarm and Immobiliser

Having removed the siren from the front wheel arch and what I think I see the alarm "box" under the dash bolted to a white cage, other than the wiring loom I see there anything else to ditch as part of the security system??

the alarm box you removed got a sticker with texton? there should be an immobiliser box which according to info from this site is some where behind the fuses i looked for it on mine but must have been removed

Yep the box I removed had texton on it. Removed another box of 2 from behind fuses tonight. One stopped the car from starting, the other appears to have stopped the central locking from working...
It's all confusing!

The dash is coming out tomorrow, will se what else I stumble across!

Brief update on this - Immobiliser and key transponder all removed along with associated wiring. Got the sequence wrong and ended up locking my ECU, but now that's fixed after picking up an unlocked ECU and all is good!

What were you trying to do anyway?

Remove the alarm and immobiliser.
It's a track car and doesn't need those devices playing up and causing problems.

All you needed to do was unplug the smaller of those 2 boxes and the ecu would have stayed unlocked.
