106 quicksilver

hi there not too sure if this is the correct place to post but here goes. I have a 106 quicksilver 1.4 8v 2000 and well its anything but quick, its sloppy and running poor. im thinking of fitting a 106 GTI engine. how easy/difficult would the conversion be?

easier to buy a 106 gti, dont exactly go for much money these days

adie19922014 27th April 2014 20:58

fair enough, for a gti in equivalent quality to mine ive only been seeing 1000-1500 but engines going for 400-500 thats reason i asked lol, trying to save money

adie19922014 27th April 2014 21:08

are there any other engines i could go for?

Vtr or rallye unit. I've got the latter on eBay right now

gandi, have you got a link? And would it be a difficult switchover?

Gti/vts engine, straight swap over and a piece of piss, for an extra 45bhp for that little money wise it's silly not to!
