I started something like this a while ago but I have removed the chevrons too and fibre glassed & fillered holes (looks just like a dimma one) what I wanted to know is...

The mesh you used looks very flat which is ideal, but myne is more 3d and i wondered how much room there is now you made it slightly thicker with the mesh?

I have cut my backing piece to bits but dont think i should have! Shouls I just tiger seal it in place?

Has anyone attempted a home made dimma grill before?

sykes2009 16th January 2009 23:07

on to painting now i must be the worlds worst painter very orange peeley
i used 90 sec aroldite to stick the back on and its suppost to be water proof but when i came to wash it ready for painting its started to come loose. but i have a selent thats like tiger seal that im going to run all the way around the edge so hopfully that will help

im having a problem meshing mine, some help off someone would be great... The mesh will make the grill thicker making it not sit flush with the bonet, so ive been told to mesh the back, but this will have the same affect??....
