If I know Robb like I think I know him......

The reason he is getting a big tv is too say to his mates....."I have a 50inch plasma lads for xmas"

My response to that would be........"your spoilt"

Robb 12th December 2007 17:08

when im paying for well over half of it myself?

jog on fatty.

Jacko 12th December 2007 17:15

im doing the same....only im paying for less than half

Robb 12th December 2007 17:35

http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/p...=specification

BBL 13th December 2007 08:44

dotn get HD ready, they are crap compared to old sets, get FULL HD for ebst veiwing experience, although you pay a bit more, it is money well spent

HD Ready emans its full HD ready, whichs means tis ready for HD sigansl, which emans it has HD, also there is no such things as 'full' HD, it runs on 2 ratioes and 1080i and 1080p, which if you read has no realy diffrence, if you see a TV for sale saying Full HD, then its just a way of getting mroe money out of you ;)

Robb 13th December 2007 09:18

that link you posted betty originally states that theres no difference but then at the end says in what cases it is different and then all the user comments say so underneath. anyway the plot thickens,

now I dont know wether to get the 46inch Samsung with 1080p for £1200 or 40inch Samsung with 1080p for £800 meaning 400 left for a PS3. Hmmmmm.

betty02 13th December 2007 09:21

perosnally i would go that bit bigger, may aswell i think 42 is looked at now as standard size for TV's and my gd's dad ahs a 42 downstairs and a 42 in his rooms and hes looking for a bigger oen seams nothing now!

Jacko 13th December 2007 09:22

dont be a penis robb, 40 inch+ps3 is far better than 46 inch tv. FACT.

betty02 13th December 2007 09:27

Be cool and get 46 and a PS3, sell something to afford it lol, must admit swaying towards to other option more now

Jacko 13th December 2007 09:31

proof of all these 42's betty.

Robb 13th December 2007 10:20

hahaha LAD, jus spat pringles everywhere.

ive missed your humour.

Anyway Im thinking just get the 46 inch, then save at a later date for the PS3 theres no rush.

Clouds_mate 13th December 2007 10:24

PS3 are shit anyway.

why not just buy the HD-DVD add on for the 360?

AdamW 13th December 2007 10:29

I wanna get HD-DVD for Xmas.....but my cheapass mum wont buy me anything else.....I will be unwrapping a money clip at Xmas and then crying in my room while my litte bro unwraps 400 presents

Robb 13th December 2007 10:34

3/1 odds on AdamW Xmas Day suicide.

The add on doesnt look as good as built in with PS3. And there will probably be a clearer indication in which way the market will go in a few months, HD-DVD or Blueray...

Karl 13th December 2007 10:34

The market will go Blueray, serious.
Blockbusters wont stock HD DVDs.
Japan prefer Blueray.
