Internet Woes

Right, my router is on and always connected to my laptop, wireless-ly.

But everynow and then the internet goes down/my computer fucks up and i have to renew my ip address.

I do this by going to cmd releasing the ip then renewing it.

Does anyone know why i have to keep doing this?

Does my ip time out or something?

How often does this happen?
by default DHCP should renew the IP after 8 days.

Like probs once an hour
