Clio 172 Cup - New photos page 5

Put a deposit down on this today as I'm having the VTS off the road over winter.

71k, Tax till Feb, MOT till April, 3 previous owners.

Alloys and bodywork are spotless as is the interior. After having a poke around does need a rear exhaust mount, washer bottle pump and a front splitter but thats about it can't complain for the price I'm paying.

Collecting on Monday :)

Plans:
Carbon front splitter
Ktec stealth exhaust
Airbox of some sort

And enjoy.

Yeah good call, if the aux belt hasnt been done for 36k its overdue and if it goes it'll wrap round the cambelt and knacker it - thus 16 new valves needed and probably need pistons/block. Cups arent as expensive in labour as the air con models though

yep belts were done in 08 and its done 27k since april 08 so theyll get done in february. i've just gotta find a renault specialist around me that can do them at a good price.

michaelgrimes 27th November 2011 17:04

Awesome dude.

Update:
Picking it up this evening if I can get my money out of the bank. Excited. :panic:

CitSaxo589 28th November 2011 20:55

Looks a nice tidy example mate.

Yeah Espace V6 airboxes are the best filter wise, and for the splitter if you dont want to fork out for a carbon one. You can get a Skoda Fabia splitter which is just the same as a Renaultsport Cup spliter but much cheaper.
Skoda splitter - £13
Renaultsport Cup Splitter - £130.

Its so much nicer to drive than the saxo, clutch takes some getting used to, bit heavier then im used to lol.

i want carbon though :) #stylewhore. cheers for the info though man.

ALL IS GOOD. Clio on the drive, saxo off the road. happy days.

Saxotim 13th February 2012 06:21

Yo yo yo

Well since my last update last year the VTS is gone! sold for £380 in the end, no tax and a massive fail list with some quite extensive rust. But i got to keep my dvd HU, sub and amps which have all been sold apart from my 2channel jbl which i might stick in the clio..... undecided. but that little lot gained me another 350 bangers so I made 30 quid on what I paid for the beast.

ANYWHOOOO.

Plans for the clio have somewhat changed.
New exhaust, eithe JA stealth from ktec or supersprint stealth from kamracing
Coilovers, weitec i think.
Carbon splitter and headlamp washer blanks.
Brembo max discs and carbon lorraine rc5+ pads
Whiteline rear arb
A bloody good detailing
New steering wheel, undecided what.
front and rear strut braces
new induction kit, reaaaaaaaly want a maxogen but im not paying 400odd quid for a fucking air filter.

And after that monstrous post here are some snow pictures

Hopefully a bigger update by the end of march.
