4-2-1 racing manifold & boost valve
Want to add these to my Saxo VTR phase 2, 2001, 1.6i. Are these the right products?

I can understand the manifold but why the fuel pressure reg? Will literally do nothing but cause problems and take time to fit

It's a manifold built for better performance over standard, that's all. As previously stated fuel pressure reg is pointless unless you've done serious engine work. What are you looking to achieve? Is the rest of your exhaust / air intake system standard? |
you never ever need that pressure reg, only bin worthy.

longer primaries and secondaries are better, so I would go for the second however its not designed for the phase2 oil filter setup so you'll need to change to the earlier metal cartridge type instead of the paper element.
the first one appears to be made as a direct fit and wiggles towards the right to miss the filter housing, but has mega short primaries. |

Just to bump this thread. What 4-2-1 manifold would people recommend for a phase 2, 2001 Saxo VTR which has been remapped, air induction kit fitted and a sports exhaust full kit fitted?
|
Both the ones you have listed are fusion welded and made from some high quality Chinese steel. I personally would go for the second one, if you want it to last I would get it re welded with back purge and a 304 stainless filler rod, vibrations will crack the fusion welds on these.
