As tom said that's what I was expecting, highest I've seen dyno'd at nms on fast road cams is 167bhp with ph3's and atpower bodies, if I went chipwizards I'm sure I'd get a prinout of 180 lol

Tontsy 9th May 2012 20:35

:A: stock ATW! looking for the next run at 111.63atw.

now ive got a full system, intake and powercommander v im hoping to get a few more on her next run.
hurry up sun so i can get back out!

not had a car on the rollers before, so really looking forward to getting my leons before and after once P-Torque have had a play with her.

Ahhh, I'm Cammed and unmapped at 141, I was expecting another 10 from a map

Maybe not

The map will improve fuel efficiency, reduce the chances of engine failure from incorrect fuelling massively. A good map will see improvements over a bad map but you still are limited by things like the cam profile/valve size etc...

Although as said put it on chip wizards and you will probably see it at 160 bang on.

Ryan 9th May 2012 21:28

Jeff also quick one as something I've been discussing with a few people recently, what fuel did you map it on? 95/98?

Standard ECU? after my map at RS tuning i made somthing like 1.6bhp extra but as ryan says most of the advantages of the map are everything else that is done not the end number. Sam made 4hp after the map and the one that was on there originally was terrible.

With Andy's Predator ECU.

Mikol 10th July 2012 11:43

TU5J2 1.6 Rallye Engine (Unknown miles)
Recon head
S1 Inlet
Stock mk2 VTR exhaust incl. silencer
Raceland 421
K&N open cone
1.3 ECU with 1.6 EPROM, stock map

With a quick map on the piggyback it nudged just over 110, but took a hit on midrange torque.

Ross 19th July 2012 08:55

I'll play.

June 2011 (GT30) - 403bhp.

Would have made a lot more but we didn't know we were breaking valves due to a cam fuckup whilst mapping...

Sept 2011: (GT28) - 338bhp.

Outflowing the GT28 at the top end so boost trails off. Graph shows 2871 would be more suited at this point, but still made 330+bhp @ 18psi. But look at that torque curve. About as perfect as they come...

Ross 23rd July 2012 19:52

Just found this old dyno graph of my Renault 5. Sob - miss this car! Don't see any pen drawn dyno graphs anymore! Showing my age here...

193.2bhp atw.

Simon 23rd July 2012 20:11

Original VTR 8v........ 107.2 bhp

BMC air filter
Supersprint Manifold
Superspint silenced centre
Piper backbox

Then 16v conversion....... 141.5 bhp

Kent PT50 cams (std ecu map)
BMC air filter
Raceland Manifold
Superspint race centre
Kamracing V1/Piper backbox

Ross 23rd July 2012 20:14

That's wank Simon. Should be 196hp that vtr ;)

RyanSaxo 6th August 2012 21:11

VTS

86k miles
Supersprint 4-2-1
Supersprint race centre section
Piper Backbox
K&N GenII induction

Ran on standard tesco fuel (apparently makes a difference )

VTS Power Graph by RyanSmithyyyy, on Flickr

Shame I never thought to ask for wheel figures :(

Ross 7th August 2012 14:05

Good solid figure that. :)
