The Best .. Inner Wheel Restorer

Token the alloys off and i discovered how stubborn this dirt is layered on! Ive tried the usual wonder wheels etc, that does the outside which are clean but the inside ... its thick dirt thats molded on the wheel. Brake dust and gerenal crap.

Whats the best stuff to get this off without damaging the wheel surface?

de greaser leave for about 5 mins wash off

spray more on and adjitate then rinse keep doing that until happy

David 27th November 2007 11:22

I used oven cleaner.
Seriously... Did a good job.

saunders 27th November 2007 11:25

Once you get it off, get yourself some poorboys wheel sealant, and it wont happen again, as long as you wash them on a fairly regular basis:y:

Try something like gunk, you do need to be careful that the stuff you use is not too abrasive/harsh as it could dull the alloy or work its way into it

Meg's Wheel Brightner, swear by the stuff for insides of alloys. Makes it a 10 minute job.

Cool thanks guys, will try some of these products :)

Main reason is i'm painting them after i do this. While im here ...
White is the colour i've been wanting for some time, what contrast of white would look the best against black paintwork?

White on black gives a very good contrast, I think it will look ace. Do your badges white as well and your on to a winner:y:

Cheers i wasn't to sure at first but now i've thought about it, it could look nice. The badges are black but i'll take them off again and paint them white to, possibly do the shevrons at front to :)
