saxo vtr 1997 // went out to my car this morning an my battery was dead. got a quick bump start an she started up fine, but my battery light is staying on but it is realy faint , an wen i try an indicate left or right, all i get is a buzzing sound coming from the flasher unit . iv been told that the altenator has gone but it is still charging my battery??? i have have it tested an its fine , i have checked all my earths an cleand them, thay r all clean an tite ??? as well as this wen i start the car i have no power to my s/wheel cd /player or windows but wen i rev her up a little it all strats to work fine but the battery light stays on can any one help >>>>>>>>>>>>>>:wacko: :wacko:

Sounds like the charging system, my regulator packed up on my fireblade motorbike and i had exactly the same symptoms, same thing as the alternator basically

so what should i do

who tested it? it sounds like your alt is over chargin your battery

is the battery light stayin on even tho the ignition is swicthoff?

no an wen i start it it dont light up untill the power stering an the cd player an the widows strt working i have to give it a good hard rev an it all starts to work thats wen the light comes on

need to charge up your battery as just bump starting your car will not do. if that doesn't work your battery is fucked :fcuk: similar thing happened to mine.

have you now fixed it did you just change the battery
