Am i the only one..

..to like top spec motors ?

Its just i see smaller sized specs and they are never as comfy or as good full stop.

I drive a lot of different cars every day in my job, and most are just so shit..

I might get a lot of hatred for this comment but its PERSONAL OPINION.

For example;

I disslike/hate all saxo's but the vtr and s

Today picked up a Focus st170 and they are really good, but every other focus ive driven are pants tbh.

Just like civics too, they are all pretty pants but the type r.

Im not sure if its just me but its all about the top spec cars.

Edit: And we have brand new fiesta curtersy (sp) cars and they are just pathetic and nothing on the zs and st's.

The list goes on..

thats why they are the top spec ;)

i know what you mean, im the same, i have a load of different cars for work.

i dont tend to get the top spec petrol model cars, but i can a massive difference between a bog standard diesel and a top of the range diesel, i always call in advance to see what cars are available ;) lol

totally agree.

tbh i think most people are the same and would choose to have the top spec model if they could afford it.

the only exception is the aston martin vantage. better than the vanquish imo

AM4R 1st May 2008 18:16

well thats the whole point! lol Top spec = more expensive car = better car usually. duh! :)

scottyvtr 1st May 2008 18:36

depends - on the make and model ie. id rather have a landrover defender which is at the bottom of the scale of the social scale in that family of vehicles

sharpie 1st May 2008 19:15

no you're not. that's why people pay more for them.

i agree too. ive been moaned at this week for buying a clio 172, and that i dont need a 2ltr engine at 19. but my argument back was i dont want a low model car that ill spend money on and not enjoy.

TU-Tuning 1st May 2008 19:25

Def get where your coming from mate. Only thing I dont get is that you say VTR and VTS are the top specs, VTR has nothing on a VTS spec wise, cant really make a new rule just because you own one ;)

AlexB 1st May 2008 19:27

gotta love em tbh

potatopete 1st May 2008 19:28

Thats the whole point - top spec is top money. Poverty spec is for less money. Most people, I imagine, will go for somewhere in between, on any make/model.

AlexR 1st May 2008 19:29

The idea is that the average tard who trundles about at 40mph everywhere wouldn't notice the difference between driving a metro and a ferrari, so most cars are just mass produced shite. For people who are more fanatical about cars they make the high spec models which are designed with driver pleasure in mind. Alas there is a reason for shit cars, and a reason for good cars.
