Ashley exhaust

I got myself an ashley comp exhuast system, but the middle pipe is sitting against the rear beam, and is blowing from the front joint, i cant work out why its blowing all brackets tight and there are no holes! was thinking of welding the whole lot together is that a good idea??

Jack it up mate

And have a play with it

They can be fiddley to fit with the adjustable hangers

Bally 23rd June 2008 10:02

tell me about it they seem like there miles to big and need cutting and re bending the hangers unless im using them wrong! ill just have to have a play cheers mate

sometimes you can rotate the centre section a fraction to give you clearance around the rear beam and make it fit better

Coonper 23rd June 2008 10:35

I didnt have any issues with clearance on the rear beam...

I had issues with the front anti roll bar! I had to play round with it to get it to stop knocking, but i did it eventually.

I had no problems sealing the joints though. if you are really struggling use some exhaust paste, like gun gum.

Yes it would, but it would need repainting round the weld, cus obviously the paint will melt off and they rust rather quickly with no paint.

May also be a bit of a pain in the arse to fit if its dead heavy and just welded as a big long tube.
