when that was happenin to mine i got it checked out by Citroen an they put it thru their diagnostic machine thing an traced the problem to me passenger airbag being faulty

so they fixed that but cost £40, had to get it done cause mum being safety mad on cars but better to be safe than sorry

Yes a simple fix is to unclip the seat belt pre-tensioner`s under the two front seats, clean them and spray some WD-40 in them then clip them back together.

My light`s never come back on since... trust me this works

i have a mk2 vtr were are the orange wires? are they under boths seats or just the one and do i neeed to discharge the airbag before disconecting the orange wires?

Taken from my airbag FAQ...

"The most common cause of the air-bag light flashing is due to a poor electrical connection at one of the seatbelt pretensioners. Take a look under each of the front seats. You will see orange cable, and an orange connector block. Ensure the connector block is pushed together correctly and that the wires are making a good connection."
