16v conversion fuel return line
erm right now since my setup on the quiksilver is a single line with the fpr under the rear bench how the feck do i get rid of all that so its more normal?
looked at josh thread and feeding the lines ok fair enough but is there any other way of doing it? |
see replies on ssc :P
|
lol pooman!
|
You either need to fit VTS fuel lines, or block off the return coming out the rail.
If you are thinking about turboing the valve engine, then i would fit the VTS fuel lines, as the fuel pressure can oscillate slightly, which isnit an issue when running as standard, but you want stable fuel pressure when adding a turbo. |
nah this one going to be buying poolmans old tb bits when I got cash to do so
|
chances are ill drop it all off with you gav, just pay me when you get the casheesh
|
sweet dude chat later about it like!
|
i have a set of vts fuel lines going spare
and maybe a vts tank too lol! |
lol dude you are going to need them for your conversion when you do it!! I think!
would need all the lines from engine bay, bulkhead back to the tank etc ballache, but matey has run with a single line system fine for ages |
the 1.1 has twin lines!!!
so there up for grabs if you want ill pull them all out tomorrow |
cool you do realise I need utterly everything from the engine bay, bulkhead to the tank etc lol
|
ive got all the stuff apart form the line from by the bulkhead to the rail
so from the bulkhead all the way back to the tank (even got the tank if you want lol!!!!) |
will pm you alex, it seems like the single line system will work ok but will let you know tommorow
|
yea sound man
|
If I was you, and you had the car with no seats, I would drop the tank down, rip out all the lines and start again. Run an inline fuel filter and just run 2 braided lines down through the bulkhead and directly into the fuel pump. Then use P clips to make it neat.
|
my braided hose setup cost about 30 quid.
|
braided hoses, jubilee clips, p-clips to tart it up, sorted :)
:y: that was my first :y: i think you deserve it |
right so literally case of rip all pipes off the tank block necessary holes up, run 2 lines from the rail all the way back to the pump, put an inline fuel filter and it is all sorted?
|
ja.
for mine i put a new filter and pressure reg in the bay. ![]() however this is before we realised it was plumbed in wrong lol |
ah ok fair enough then if it aint that hard then will do that to make it more oe. As Alex has said he can sort me all the lines from the bulkhead to the tank no problems just case of doing the ones from bulkhead to the rail ya?
