Strange Brake question here

Hi guys,
Might sound like a strange question but I have a guy in work who has a saxo and was just saying something about its brakes.
He said that the way the brakes work is that it only has front ones, The rear is one the handbrake one.

Can this be right? Surely it has back back too:wacko:

i havnt a clue but i do no the brakes are shite!!

He could have disconnected the rear brake lines, however if he did, its fair to say hes retarded

I thought he was talking crap like

TU-Tuning 14th August 2008 09:39

Its possible mate but he would have had to have done it himself. Rear brakes dont do much of the braking, around 15% ish, but you shouldnt get rid of them

surely it would fail its MOT though wouldn't it

djflipsaxo 14th August 2008 11:57

haha 100% fail mate
irless if he has a dodgy machanic who done it lol

while the front brakes do much of the work to keep the car balanced you need the rear ones to be working as well
