exhaust system, supersprint race or omp inox group n?

looking at both of these systems as i should be getting a VTS at the weekend,

what sounds nicer?? does anyone have the group n one? iv sen a few supersprints around and they sound absolutely awesome however checked a vid on youtube and the group n looks and sounds awesome aswell,

only prob is ideally i want to keep the cat on the car as i dont want to run the risk of getting caught without one as its going to be a lisence loss, (illegal part on the car then voided insurance because of the illegal part = 6 points) so i was looking at the group n and the centre pipe comes in a few different parts so im sure you can fit a cat to it somehow? also the centre pipe from the supersprint is decatted... so would have to have a different centre pipe and just buy the backbox ahh.. any help would be greatly appreciated! rep waiting for any usefull answers/ videos e.c.t so far found this,

group n

group n is almost twise the price aswel its up to you mate but ide choose the supersprint just waiting to get payed then im getting mine:D

and also with the cat you wont get the flames as seen in the video take it off ive never had any problem with police you would have to get a real bad one to check your car to the extent that they find out you have no cat and with insurance you are voiding it with a exhaust and not telling them anyway but if you do need to claim its only a 20 min job taking it all off and replacing with a standard system hope this helps

removing the cat does not void your insurance.

Not telling the insurance company that you've fitted a performance exhaust certainly would.

What can the police do if you aint got a cat fitted?

Drago 6th September 2008 14:50

The police will certainly question why you have no cat fitted, but aslongs as the car passes an emissions test it will be ok.

Very doubtful that it will though, especially with either of the above exhausts fitted.

omp sounds slightly better but im not sure both very simular.

doubt they would ever check tbh and if they do you can just say its in the manifold you cant see it

they hand out an on the spot fine for not having a cat, they have a portable emissions machine which will tell them

ah right and you get points aswell tho dont you...

tbh for the risk of getting points and a fine i dont see what the big deal of having the cat on the car is anyway.... surely if you have a good manifold/induction kit your still going to have a good sounding car however dont have to worry about getting caught without one.. sucks supersprint dont do a centerpipe with a cat:n:

AndySAXO 7th September 2008 16:43

you can get a supersprint pipe so you can keep the cat,
