whos slammed?

hi guys and gals, just bought a vts, its my first saxo :)

ive always drove vw's till now and after looking around on the forum most people seem to say down 40mm is enough, where as my mk2 golf gti was down 150mm..?

can anyone shed some light on this for me? pics of cars and how much there lowered please :)

ta,

ally.

yeh man my saxo is on standard vtr alloys in red with a white lip and its lowered on the bump stops which i think is 120mm its so much fun roud roundabouts lol i have 40mm on the front only casue i cant afford more you can only realy go 50mm on the front other wise it beats out the powersteering pump lol

ally-vts 23rd October 2008 19:42

power steering is for girls :P can you swap the rack out for one from a lower spec saxo or 106 ?

Proffitt 23rd October 2008 19:50

My old westie was 60 on the front and sitting on the bump stops on the back :y:

People only say about 40 mil because that is good for handling and day-to-day driving :D Me personaly likes the look of cars slammed :)

this has been said so many times lol. rearcan be slammed to what you want but front doesnt match unless you spend some hard cash. or cheap way chop bits.

im sure the power sterring only rubs on the mark 2? is this true.as ive dropped my mk1 vts 60mm front!

LSOfreak 23rd October 2008 21:41

ye iv only heard affects mk2

onzakieron 23rd October 2008 23:36

I've been on the bumps at the back but it's very dangerous, makes the car jump like hell.

Raceland do a cheap coilover set on the front for £140 which will drop like 90mm or something then match it on the torsion bar, sorted.

Can't believe noones said it yet, PICS OF GOLF!

lol bet the golf looked a beast

ze golf

5c077y11 24th October 2008 00:25

bump stops are dangerous you just have to control them like a man and 40 mil doesnt mean shit with handling if you drive properly you dont need suspension on the back pure hardness is the way to stick to the roadddd

LukusCrossan 24th October 2008 00:53

mines 80mm on the back and 60 mm on the front.
thinking bout dropping more thoughhhh
or maybe air ride?
golf is mint mate!!

scottyvtr 24th October 2008 00:54
