They are jobs still out there, just depends on what exactly you want to do and your willing to do.

Personally if it was me, i would go do a winter season aboard.

Peejous 15th December 2008 14:44

Go to Andorra ill be there in January (with the wife) are you fit? Want to hook up? Pics?
A/S/L?

I wish in a way I did repping. I left school at 18 then went to Malia for the summer and went stright into a job. Looking back I wish I had more balls. If my life ever goes tits up I shall do this route for sure!

I'm in too much debt now to afford to go for a job like this now! plus I don't think the GF would be to happy! I would take the job in Andorra if i were you. Would be good, I've been there 3/4 times and loved it every time. What have you got to loose if you went and then didn't like it. Its only a few months of your life. Plus you earn a few quid.

Can I ask how much will you earn for a season?

Tom

Exactly the same as me.

I wanted to be a rep/work aboard when i was at school. Having a girlfriend and getting too used to having money once i left meant it never happened.

Now I'm in a job i hate more then anything in my life. Im forever spending money and listening to people moan about money all the time.

i would love the change in lifestyle but im too comfortable and scared of change now.

Ryan 15th December 2008 14:51

go get some temp work and then fuck off back out to the fun

Barry123 15th December 2008 14:53

fuck me I could do repping...

*thinks*

*head explodes*

a17vts 15th December 2008 15:05

Don't get me wrong but I love my life now, although it is hard at present. I wish I did things slower in my life. I now have a well paid job, a large mortgage and a long term GF. I also had the chance to do repping I had a job lined up and every thing.

I still have a number of friends who are working as reps, two are now "managers" in two different places in France, they seem to earn ok for what they do.

If I had my time again I would do at least a few years of repping and then go into "proper" work once I was about 25!!!

Ryan 15th December 2008 15:13

id purely do the repping thing to get paid to get mashed, and plow as many uk holiday hoebags as possible.

Amiee 15th December 2008 15:20

no I just mean I've spent the last year sort of wondering what the frig to do, major headache thinking about what to do, what the future holds, what the foooook is happening with the economy etc etc (hence head explosion comment)... Real, proper job iz gay, so I opted go down the education route... wish I chose to party instead.

I got half that on the dole *thanks tax payers for their hard work :)*

djrem 15th December 2008 15:31

Doesnt matter what economy you're in.
£5k a year salary isnt worth anything in any economic climate.

How can you decide to fly home when its a major chunk of your annual earnings. Serious.

EDIT: Sayer, should have said you were a single dad.
