Upgrade.
Looking a step up from:
JBL 507c Full Component System JBL GTO-1264 12" (1200W) Subwoofer JBL GTO-3501e (360W) RMS Amplifier Either of these deals going to make a difference? http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/prod...12_p-21417.htm http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/prod...01_p-23226.htm |
tbh id just look at new amps for the sub and comps, put some real power behind the sub and you'll get some more boom boom... and maybe new head unit time?
|
presuming the comps arent amp'd seperately yet..
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/8036.html and something like http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/8186.html |
Got this headunit at the minute -> http://www.ice-direct.com/product.as...21&src=froogle
Would the sub not be running at it's RMS (300w) with the amp i have at the minute? I'm not completely clued up on ice so it's all still quite new to me. |

http://www.icebuyer.co.uk/dehp6000ub...n-p-12486.html though to be fair you spent alot on that :S JVC arent really held in high regard tho... and i dint check the amps specs its probably slightly under powering seeing as you quoted max power figures for your sub so i presumed you did for the amp too, the sub will take more than 300watts rms imo so an amp upgrade would defo get you some more boom boom... the other way to get some more bass would be to build a better box(presuming your using the pre-fab box?) |
Got a different box built aswell :P
The headunit was a gift so i didn't bother to upgrade it. If i bought a more powerful 12" sub with about 500w Rms and a beefy 4 channel amp that would power the amp and components right? and i could fit it all straight into the box i have, so now looking for a 12" sub and 4 channel amp deal.. |

and then you could always give you current sub more power.. or new amp + sub... always gonna work better with a 2chan+mono... |
