filler ? can i not just go straight on top of the fibre glass?

what does primer do ?

cheers dan

Ben 11th February 2009 00:10

Primer is what is says on the tin, prepares/primes the surface ready for the paint.

Sneakydevil89 11th February 2009 10:42

engine looks a bit odd, but the widemouth is getting on nicely. will be interested to see how it turns out.

wicked-vtr 11th February 2009 11:02

omg rough about the window :( howd you lock the car if the keys were inside :S im not really a fan of widemouth but when you spray it up i might change my mind :p

luke1988 11th February 2009 11:24

widemouth is looking good mate! just need to mesh it and get rid of the rest of the black plastic!

Andy_K 11th February 2009 11:26

Have you painted the manifold cover with Hammerite?

If so you're probably going to want to remove that before it chokes you with the fumes when it burns as soon as you try and drive anywhere

mattwesty 11th February 2009 11:37

is this thread a joke? :P

Prickle 11th February 2009 12:03

MR_N 11th February 2009 15:05

sorry is this a joke?
dunno why im asking because its pretty obvious, did you take the rocker off to spray it? even if you did how did you manage to get it all over the bay? there is no where near enough coats on it. Is it heat resistant paint? better hope it is (the manifold cover anyway)
How did you lock yourself out of the car? surley you would need your keys in your hand to lock it? And your solution was to break the rear window? Who let you near a car?

Nice progress though!

VTEC-Saxo 11th February 2009 15:36

bloody hell, no offencive but that engines bodged.. could you not be arsed to remove 2 bolts...
