my sterio resets itself?
 

hi iv just fitted a sub box and amp and connected it to a custom sterio. however everytime i switch the ignition off and back on, the sterio resets itself back to default. i know basics with electrics as iv picked it up working for Maplins lol. however i belive the solution is down to swapping the red and yellow constant. however how do you swap them? iv tried pulling and they dont come out so have stopped pulling the cables incase they snap.

how can i get around this and what do i do step by step

Just cut them and crimp some bullet connectors on then you can swap them over.

make sure that you are swapping the ignition live and permanent live over! can check this with a test light
