You've not nailed them but overall not too bad an effort. No doubt your photos will be alot better when you get to more track days :)

Favorite pic has to be the green truck going sideways bud.

Really like the pics. Alot of clear details showing from the trucks, what camera are you using? Definetly better than what I could achieve :y:

Hoping to go to more track days. Are the track days the one where spectators come in free?

Any Tips Jay? I dont think the lens is helping me much tbh. I think some more practice may help.

Thank you, the trucks drifting was awesome! The trucks were the best!

Was using a Canon 400D with Sigma 70-300mm lens.

having only done motor sport shots twice i don't think im the person to give tips lol

just practice i suppose, what post processing have you done?

mattchewone 29th March 2009 21:44

At the moment they have pretty much none, put through LR with sharpening thats all. Once i have gone through and chucked out all the crap ones ill go and process them.

not a bad effort mate, the cars seems to have have come out better than the first few you posted up, especially the no.67 mk1 escort - thats awesome. one of the reasons i upgraded my lens was to get one with fast autofocus, i dont know if you where find this a problem, but in my case it was sometimes not focusing in time for the shot, the canon 70-200 is much quicker at this though.

as for the last pic just mix and match mate :), unless you have got another side on panning shot of it you want me to chop

mattchewone 30th March 2009 18:48

Cheers james, that ones awesome! I wish the panning of it flaming was sharp!

I didnt get many of the escort side on. As i found as you said the AF is to slow and crap, it kept hunting!

Think the 70-200 is my next purchase just got to decide on whether i want the canon or sigma.
