CCF bonnet.

Im looking at getting one of these ccf fibreglass bonnets for my vtr as it will save loads of weight as my bonnet weights loads. Seems good for £140. Do they come in primer or black in the pic? Anyone got one on there car? Whats the fit like and how do you fit the original top bolts and lower catch or would some aero catches be best?

From what I've heard they are safer with bonnet pins.

you need aero catches mate to keep it secured

they can come in black/white/grey... depends on the fibreglass they use at the time it looks like, ive seen a few raw products in different colours.

You want pins to

The grille looks fooking terrible though they could have made more of an effort with that

i was going to get the one with the smoothed off grille but didnt know how i would open it without takin out the smoothness off having pins

same as most aftermarket bonnets tbh, they should just not fit any mesh instead of trying to be useful and fit cheap stuff.

Bond in an OE grill and it looks fine :D

tbh the quality could be better, it comes in a dark blue btw.

They are a bitch to get fitted right and look all wavey when painted. I have one. Overall I'm impressed by the weight savings but not the quality of finish

And yuo can use either a standard catch or pins with it, but obviously pins are safer
