are french plates illegal in the uk? or is there nothing wrong with them?

there illegal :(, get fined for it, shame as they look good ,

why are they? there nothing really different with them. i bought a set but prob aint going to fit them now then.

They have illegal lettering, the F bits wrong should say GB, and theyre not properly reflective. Because of this thousands of people could die on the roads, therefore they are illegal :wall: Fookin Government

what the hell its even illegal to have the F badge put on it.

Aye, means its supposedly a car registered in France. Really upsets plod

yeep (N) , some times if you get a good officer they let you off, ;), but they tell you to change them back :(

Not to sound like a dick but when you drive past anyone, or whoevers following you will just think " french twat"

done to death tho, i'd get 3/4 height reg's for something different

i asked the m.o.t boys at work today and they said: Basiclly the law has changed on plates now,
you can have what ever you want now on the side of the number plate that doesnt matter.
the only thing at they can do you for that the plate aint reflective enough as it being metal.
