Ferwell c2 detailing with megs 3 step...

read a few threads on here about it also with it being a light swirl remover soo i went down to halfords and got all 3 steps for £16 (3 for 2 offer)

there aint no before or after pics sorry has we didnt have a proper light to see the swirls... but here is the end result...

ps the steelies are temp as ryan has my alloys for his mot ...

also the lack of sun and the rain make it less shiny but im over the moon with results and can recommend..:drink:

im pretty sure james knows what megs 3 step is lol

dod juice is a quick detailer, to finish it off and add another layer of "gloss" protection :y:

well its going into beody shop next week soo i think im justgunna pay for a machine polish..

J222JRA 21st May 2009 08:31

dodo juice is a very good quality wax as will make that car shine 10 times better.

joehow12 21st May 2009 08:37

wax dulls paint after polish glazes will bring up the shine.
Wax is a sealant that locks in polish to the paint. Too get a car really shiny a glaze is needed after wax.

J222JRA 21st May 2009 08:50

hahahahahahahaha yeah mate ok

i think you will find this is the way you detail a car,

wash
clay
wash
dry
polish
glaze
seal
waxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

gazwhittle 21st May 2009 09:17

well i didnt clay my car as not all of it needed doingn plus with it being farly new so i just did the 3 step.. where can i get dodo juice from? and have you ay pics of the end results?

J222JRA 21st May 2009 09:26

for the results i get from the dodo juice have a look at my thread, page 2 #26, see my signature below for the thread link.

wax does dull after polishing, this may not happen with cheaper liquid waxes i might add.
Using something like megs last touch or a quick spray of dodo juice red mist on top of a coat of wax will increase wetness. On a dark car like yours though creating shine is relatively easy. Leaving bare wax on white paintwork does dull it slightly after polishing hence the need for some sort of detail spray to bring back wetness.

J222JRA 21st May 2009 09:36

ive detailed quite a few cars and have never ever heard of that happening. If i was you i would get in touch with some one like clean your car .co.uk and ask them whats happening.

joehow12 21st May 2009 09:40

i did and they told me to use that over a wax just to give it an extra gloss.

I agree with what you posted at in order in terms of dark cars. With my old rallyes wax didnt need any help in looking really glossy.

On a white car the spray at the end just helps it along abit. This is using good quality products too so its certainly not the wax as zymol or chemical guys products are used.

J222JRA 21st May 2009 09:43

Have you tried something like dodo juice diamond white, its designed for use on light colours

joehow12 21st May 2009 09:50

i reckon thats what i will invest in next.
Product list at the mo is
Zymol Auto Bathe
AG SRP
Megs No7 Glaze
Zymol Carbon Wax
Chemical guys XXX hardcore paste wax
Dodo Juice red mist
then obviously loads of other bits for vinyl tyres etc.
