BMC CDA Cold Air Feed
where can i get one?
got a cda but no feed lol looking for one with the solid rim so i can attatch it to the grille cheers |
Not sure for a BMC direct replacement, but try and do this :y:
![]() Use samco hoses etc |
that looks fullbore! i bet thats a mint cold air supply
|
The above is the best air feed i have EVER seen! amazing work lol
|
did you have to use a mesh or something to stop stones and large debris getting sucked into the pipework?
|
Doesnt matter if it does get debris in there, thats what the filter is for.
I just bought a 1m length of ducting from Merlin motorsport and butchered an old fog light into a cold air feed for mine. |
yeah but will you not have to clean it out at some point?
|
I got a 1m length from larkspeed, wasnt very much either iirc
|
Yea but its easy to take apart and clean. Might have the odd leaf or feather but not much.
Think my 3"m was £18 or something |
that has to be the best cold air feed i have ever seen on a saxo just lol's
|
maybe the best set up but doesn't increase air flow etc as its the ecu that allows the amount of air in at any time..
If you wanted to increased air flow then thats what turbos are for.. |

It isnt getting more air in, but providing a better supply or cooler air.
|
cool air is denser so contains more oxygen and the ecu puts more fuel in to compensate for the extra air which gets in because of the less restricting ducting on aftermarket induction kits
so: More oxygen=Bigger bangs=More power (not really noticable on small engines) |
i prefer just a panel filter in the standerd air box, and i have had a bmc
