what reason mate? save weight? just curious

gixxa 25th July 2009 20:57

save alot of weight, changes centre of gravity so better handleing, plus I got bore whilst in traffic and poked a whole in the spot they rust in when the drain pipes get blocked

blackie_2k5 25th July 2009 21:06

lmao fort as much, mine cumin out when i do my conversion, guna plate it and wel it up before it get a new lick of paint

Sean_VTS 25th July 2009 22:30

Just a suggestion: Get a roof skin from a 1.1 as they didnt have sunroofs and use that.........

Jaytee 25th July 2009 22:32

Think iirc correctly its about 150 for the panel and about £250 for it to be fitted. Think thats about right. Get a carbon rook mate. lol.

blackie_2k5 25th July 2009 22:34

could go and chop 1 up though :)

gixxa 26th July 2009 09:23

not wanting to get into the extreams of new roof and spraying job, only interested in a replacement panel jobbie

AlexB 26th July 2009 11:02

it is the wrong section as its not an engine mod
but its not really styling either

anyway i did mine with a peice of 2mm thick aluminium some sealant and some pop rivets
not exactly the tidyest job as i dont care how it looks as i will be changing the skin eventually

Neilcabrio 28th July 2009 00:56

i can see why people want to lose the sunroof but to do it that way look silly to me. would of put either a roof skin on or blended it in.
