106 vs 206

Im just considering the possibility of one of these cars, not really too sure which one i prefer though, i was looking at a 106 quiksilver, but does anyone prefer a 206 to 106? is it just looks you prefer or performance? reliability ???

cheers

kenny 5th September 2009 17:26

depends on age really.

106 gti tbh

HaZz 5th September 2009 17:35

im looking at around 1.4 engines... so gti is out of it unfortunately ha.

CurtSD 5th September 2009 17:38

Get a 306 but im not biased at all :P

Rob-6 5th September 2009 17:39

id go for a 106 quicksilver

Steve 5th September 2009 17:54

206gti 180 ftw!

miamibluebaby 5th September 2009 17:54

id go for a 106 xs 90bhp may look like a 1.1 but would piss all over a quicky with a litle work would worry a few gti's im sure, oh and its insurance group 5 same as a quicky win win in your situation i know what id choose.... unless your init for the posing then get a quicky

TomBob 5th September 2009 18:06

The 106 is smaller and not as heavy so it'll feel more powerful.

Personally I'd go for the 106 Quicksilver.

Azza-VTR 5th September 2009 18:32

I owned a 106 and have driven a couple of 206's and I would get a 106 anyday of the week over a 206 tbh - the 106 is smaller, more roomy and the handling is alot better especially with some half decent tyres on :)

+ 1 although i didnt like the driving position, others may. They seem like good little cars tbh.

106 gti over a normal 206 gti though

Bickerton 5th September 2009 19:49

206 is safer i believe but everyones got a 206 ;)

dj_russell 5th September 2009 20:59

Or a 1.4 xsi, about the same but £800 cheaper :D

dj_russell 5th September 2009 21:08

theres something about those rallyes though thats so special even owning my gt4 im tempted by tbd gti/vts convo rallyes.

smiith 5th September 2009 23:40

306 HDI, faster than the quicksilvers, group 5 insurance, so its only one more, diesel so you get 50MPG, and with a stage one map (£250) will keep up with vts's

CaldzieVTR 6th September 2009 00:14

106 matey :)

peebee 6th September 2009 10:25

Jump straight in with a Saxo VTR, you wont regret it!

kenny 6th September 2009 10:39

im with smiith on this one tbh.

Hdi 306 :y:

nicolala 6th September 2009 14:15

I'd personally go for the 106 quicksilver, but it's your choice that matters most.

TU-Tuning 6th September 2009 14:23

106. 206 is underpowered for its weight, and the handlings nothing special which is bad times as the only two things French cars are good at is nimble low speed handling and good power to weight ratios. So theyre shite.
