sug7 9th September 2009 15:28

Lozza_vtr 9th September 2009 15:28

Jesus.

_ELECTABUZZ_ 9th September 2009 15:30

sad.. ill be checking my tyres a little more often.

AlexR 9th September 2009 15:30

To be fair it doesn't sound like he was driving responsibly. If it's wet then you need to be driving slowly. If you're driving fast enough to fishtail or aquaplane then you're not driving to the conditions.
Obviously it's impossible to account for all eventualities.
No doubt if the car had full tread on the tyres it would have been a different outcome.
A combination of poor experience, car condition and circumstances.

Poor guy in the rover coming the other way :(

Dont drive like a twat and maintain your car then.

Im thinking along the same lines as you a lack of inexperince and poor car maintance id a big factor in the crash. to me it souned like he overtook then pulled in and the car started sliding and he couldnt control it.

really sad that it happened

I can't see a micra holding up any better tbh

Some people don't understand the responsibilty a driving license has. General car maintance is a must, the condition of the tyres is of major importance and should never be overlooked. Even when driving within the road conditions worn tyres well may the car react in a different way.

sug7 9th September 2009 15:52

I agree ben... also pal just noticed... stoke u ent for from me in burton :D

Asherz86 9th September 2009 15:56

some of you shouldnt be so worried about saxos as a whole... i know there only like 2 stars or summin but overall the ammount of accidnts ppl have in them to deaths is very small... its like me and bikes .... the scale of deaths to accidents is very high... part reason why i`m getting a car as riding on the road has just become such a massive liablity so al be goin back to track days.

Toad 9th September 2009 15:58

Just drive really slowly in the wet. It'll make you appreciate the sunny weather (when it happens) more. :)

pr0xibus 9th September 2009 16:03

its a shame when things like this happens but as a few of you have said drive responsibly. it was pishing of rain last week here and i drove 50 - 60 all the way up to work and i done this for a week, i survived and i also made 440 miles to a full tank so thats always a bonus lol

D--R--E--W 9th September 2009 16:13

the thing is the guy was only 18, probably inexperienced and had only owned the saxo for 2 weeks so obviously was not in full understanding of the car, didnt help the fact that the guys tires were bald aswell

pr0xibus 9th September 2009 16:15

its not really inexperiance its STUPIDITY
