VTR > VTS Loom/Multiplug query (With Pics)

Hi

Im in the middle of converting my 3plug VTR to VTS. Everything on the loom is fine except i have 2 plugs that im not sure what to do with.

The first is part of the VTS engine loom, it branches out from the main loom next to where it plugs into the car loom behind the passengers side headlamp.

The second is part of the existing VTR car loom and plugged into a connector on the VTR engine loom. Again its behind the passengers headlamp and it plugged into the VTR engine loom in the same place as the first plug ive shown above. I believe it has somthing to do with the cooling fan as the wires go from this plug to the fusebox and to the cooling fan relay/multiplug.

Common sense told me that they should go together but the plugs dont match up and there is a different number of wires going to each plug.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks :y:

Bottom one looks like radiator fan - some vts's have a 2 stage fan so could account for the difference.

Top one has me baffled - hrmmmmmmm

Yeah i thaught due to different cooling fan setups that would account for the difference.

Im just going to run it and see what doesnt work i think, it doesnt look to be a critical part of the loom that would cause it to not run (i could be wrong)

top one looks like broken lamba plug

Its not, i sorted it out.

They are both for the cooling fan. I had to cut plug 1 off and replace it with the plug from the VTR loom so it connected to the second one.

I know I'm digging up an old thread but just had to say thanks and that this was the fruits of using the search function.
I have just done a vtr to s conversion and had the same issue with the 5 pin plug and found this and copied, just chopped the plug off my vtr loom and wired into the s loom and worked fine and dandy.
