Book an MOT take it even if it dont pass you save transport fees and your still able to take it home :y: (just an idea)

KrisB 10th October 2009 23:13

I can get it taken up on a flatbed but you're looking at about £200.

dave106 10th October 2009 23:41

law says you are only allowed to drive it to an mot station in your area. dont really want to chance it.

stu-n-shell 10th October 2009 23:44

you can rent a dolly then just tow it home on that or just tow it.

dave106 10th October 2009 23:47

i thought to tow it, the other car had to be road worthy and have an mot to make sure that the brakes and everything is ok.

was going to do this but thought again

stu-n-shell 10th October 2009 23:49

nah dont think so. i may be wrong though. renting a dolly would be good though or buying one.

try ryanessex on here he has a recovery truck and his rates are quite reasonable

williamsvts 11th October 2009 11:19

lend some trade plates :P or just tow it.

boabVTR 11th October 2009 12:11

book it in for an mot then just drive to your house. if the police ask tell them to phone the garage

Ste 11th October 2009 12:11

Book it in for an MOT neer you, drive it home - don't get caught cancel MOT, get caught - drive to MOT station. For the sake of £40 you might aswell.

lakey_xs 11th October 2009 12:27

dont drive it to an mot yes i would but not from that distance its just asking for points and fine tow it on a dolly or rent a traylor

edit or pay some smack head bum to drive it there with you as passenger then pay him when its sat on your drive lol

bull shit it does not matter where you take it as long as you infrom them you are coming

KrisB 11th October 2009 13:43

Trust, you are only allowed to drive the vehicle to the nearest MOT test center.

Add91289 11th October 2009 14:08

tbh you might as well buy a different car. will cost a fair bit to get this one back by the sound of it
