Has anyone done this?clicky
nope... i wouldnt risk doing it personally. v8 on steroids lol
i wasnt gonna do it,just wondering if anyones put it into practice.it does sound iffi though.
yes mate...did that to my vtr, sounded like a fookin' beast, I never had any problems whatsoever, just wish my vts was as loud now. Had a k&n panel filter in there for good measure to.
i have done this to mine by accident mind as i tool the air filter off to pull the amp wire through and i lost the rubber washer thing
![]() it only sounds louder at 4k revs though |
mmmmmmmm, considering now!!!.whats that little box thing for anyway?
its a resonator box. if you remove the box and rubber thing, so its just a big hole its loud as fook, it sounded exactly the same as when I had a pipercross induction kit fitted, only without the power sapping...
sound kool but as i am onli 16 and have a x reg standard saxo would this be appropriate to me??
depends....its only that exact air box setup that you can do that to. My VTR was a 2001, I think that setup was only on VTRs around that year
ill have ta have a look wen i under bonnet agen lol bit cold this weather tho lol

drilling a few holes in the airbox (batery side away from engine) will also have the same effect
I was going to say,
sounds like the age old 'drilling holes in airbox' trick. V8 ! LMBO! © sax-p !!! |
