VTS conversion, loom questions.
Been searching the forum about doing the converson and was wondering which cars a single plug engine loom from a mk2 x plated VTS will fit?
Ideally I wanted to do the conversion on a mk1 106, would the loom be compatable without any issues? |

You'll have trouble plugging it into the car loom if you try it in a 3 plug car for example - is a ball ache to wire up |
your best bet would be to find a MK1 vts engine ecu and loom, or second to find a mk2 vts engine, swap the sensors over for mk1vts sensors and run a mk1 vts Ecu

Thanks guys, so the loom I have wouldn't be a mk1 even though it's running a single plug ecu on a vts engine with no egr valve, it's right on the crossover year.

the saxo single plug has a different multiplug so wont plug in and the 3 plugger is no use from either car |

it allways pays to read
poor lad could have ended up with a saxo loom like wtf theres only one plug my car has 2 |
So if I was to go ahead with the mk1 106 idea...
I would need a single plug 106gti engine loom to fit. Sensor-wise, will the ones I have on the engine be the right ones for the loom given it's a single plug ecu engine on the crossover year. Thanks again ;) |
say if you did by a mk2 engine and swoped all the sensors and that so you could put the single plug engine loom and ecu on
wont you have to change the fly wheel over to a mk1 aswell becuase arnt they different I.E where the crank picup is located just a question |
