Windows media PC and Xbox
Apparently i can link my 'windows media centre' laptop to my xbox, does anyone know anything about this?

yooo,
easyyyy! connect them together with an ethernet cable, or connect them both to the same switch/router/hub. Next go on your xbox and find media center, i cant remember but you need to get a number from the windows media center onthe xbox. Once you get this code go on your computer on the windows media center, make sure the computer and xbox are connected some how, and then click media center extenders, enter the code, and once the xbox is found they will connect. You can now stream video from your laptop onto your xbox so you can view it on a tele and still be able to use your laptop/computer screen for other "stuff". hope this helps, if it doesnt pm me! |
I also have wondered about this....thanks bud

Quick tip, don't put your movies into the movies section as the navigation is shite.
Put all of your movies into the videos section and you get to choose how you navigate the files. It gives you an option to use folder view which is just like browing them on your pc, much better. Oh and, windows media centre on Windows 7 is FAR superior to that on Vista. It has more features and supports way more codecs. |
oh sweet!
Can i transfer music to my xbox then? or does it play from the laptop? |
